I was excited to support Juliana’s Bakery & Sweets after hearing great recommendations about the cornmeal guava mini cakes. I walked there early in the rain specifically for those items and was told in person they were unavailable, with staff stating they are made every other day.
After returning home, I checked DoorDash and saw the exact same cakes available for pickup within 30 minutes, which was both confusing and frustrating. This meant I made a second trip back in the rain because the information I received in person did not match what was being offered online.
Additionally, my order included a vanilla cupcake with dulce de leche, which was unavailable, but instead of notifying me beforehand or allowing me to approve a substitution, the store made that decision without my consent.
While I appreciate the handwritten apology note, better communication, accurate inventory, and customer transparency are necessary. Customers deserve consistent information and the ability to make informed purchasing decisions.
The desserts were enjoyable, but the overall experience left me disappointed due to poor communication and conflicting availability information."

"Thought this would be a great lunch salad. Not quite: it was filling. However, the combination of whole spinach leaves and warm rice didn't work for me. The Cajun turkey was only present in small amounts; roasted sweet potato cubes were no longer crisp, it didn't have any feta (was in the description), and the dressing container was quite small for this side salad. Ended up being a bland spinach and rice salad. I have really liked their signature salads in the past, but this one was a bit disappointing; I left about a cup of rice uneaten. "
