"For context, before this review I was an infrequent user of DoorDash, and totally unfamiliar with The Burger Den. However, after a long day in the field that turned into a longer evening of paperwork in my hotel room, DoorDash and The Den were a high convenience, low expectation choice. 2. Order. I had the Vibe with Shrooms with standard Wavy Fries. Since order came from > 5 miles (which could take 3 days in LA!), I had resigned myself to the usual soggy, delivery fries. Instead, I was greeted by the waft of HOT, CRISPY slabs of perfectly seasoned potato goodness, and ample ketchup packets to go with.
Let’s talk burger... Patty. PERFECT cook and temp. Brioche bun. Soft, sweet, and on point. Shrooms and onions. Sautéed and portioned with finesse that usually doesn’t come wrapped in foil and served in a cardboard box. Last stop, cheese. Folks, the cheese was so hot and stringy that it got caught in my beard! (Yes, I'm saving it for later. Gross, I know, but I gotta be me, and the cheese was sooo gooood!).
3. Surprise of the evening. I almost fell over when I realized that The Burger Den is a virtual brand of Denny’s?!? Before today, I wouldn't think Denny's capable of the best gastropub-esque burger I've had in years! Truly, I’m impressed, and I’ll be back!

The meat should always be the first ingredient put in the taco when meat is ordered, but the steak we ordered was falling out of the top of the tacos. I usually get the build-your-own kids meal and that's great, especially for take-home/delivery and, in any case, most people like to put taco toppings on the base (usually meat base) so they can get the ratio of toppings they prefer. It's unlikely I'll order anything again for delivery unless it's a build-your-own menu item with all ingredients packed separately.
