"Always great! The portions were generous, the food was flavorful, and everything was packed with care. The oxtails were tender and well-seasoned, the rice was flavorful without being overwhelming, and the chicken was crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. Definitely a hearty, satisfying meal with plenty of food for the price. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. I’d definitely order again!"

"Having lived near the mile for 7 years, I've been on a quest for truly authentic jerk chicken. As someone who grew up in Queens, I know good Jerk, and this spot is the only one that's lived up to the hype. Believe me, I've tried them all! The flavor is incredible, perfectly capturing that classic jerk taste.
My only hesitation is the price. I recently paid close to $30 for a meal that felt more like an $18 value. While the taste is amazing, that price point might make me think twice about ordering again."
"Listen! Everything was so tasty that once I started eating it I couldn't put it down! I'm American and I Love good clean Caribbean food! The jerk chicken ; tasted clean and what I mean by that time was taken to prepare the chicken! As there are no veins ! Reminding me of my Caribbean girl friend who really made love to whatever she prepared! Thank you Jerk on the Water for recreating that experience for me ! It is an absolute must to dine here! As soon as my vision is restored I will be eating in house and not through Door dash ! In the mean time I will continue to order my meals from here. Even if it's a little more than cook unity or Nutre meal plans it's worth it! The coleslaw is banging and the Mac n cheese made for N appetizing meal ; chef, you put your foot in it!! I am ordering again! Do you make Irish moss? I'd love to experience some good fresh sea moss!"

"Compared to the other Curry Goats I've had along Grand Ave, this is about bottom tier for me. Other places load my container up with Curry Goat while this place loads up the specific section. "Ordered a plate of Curry Chicken , Curry Goat and Island Flavor Jerk Island Flavor Jerk Chicken . Everything is absolutely delicious! First time ordering from this establishment and definitely won't be my last. I haven't had Jamaican food in a while and had a craving but I didn't know where to order from. Very impressed and highly satisfied. I also ordered the Jerk Chicken Patty and it did not disappoint. Mac and Cheese is baked to perfection. Meal portions are large enough to last for lunch and dinner. So glad I got my money's worth. "
"Ordered 2 oxtail meals (one with rice and peas and the other with white rice). THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! I was born and raised in JA and I was hesitant to buy JA food here on long island. This place is the real deal, lots of meat and rice for the price (and so much gravy). Plantain and vegetable were also so so delicious. I would give this place more stars if I could. Amazing flavor everything was just so delicious! "

I see 👀 no reason "WHY?!!", I would'nt order from this place again. "The lamb Breezes Lamp Chop in Honey Mustard Sauce had absolutely no honey mustard sauce. I guess they must have forgotten it for the take out order. The mashed potatoes was also lacking in taste and it wasn't very creamy. It was very dissapointing considering the cost of the meal. My boyfriend enjoyed his Breeze's Irie Pasta with chicken added and I enjoyed the Breezes Walnut Shrimp. The Breadfruit was also not very great. Their bammy is always great though. The size of the bammy is now a lot smaller than it was before but🤷🏿♀️."

"I loved my meal. My only complaint is the oxtail had a lot of fat on it. Some pieces with no meat and just fat. Please trim the meat correctly as this is a pricy dish. "The restaurant called to inform me that they were out of Rasta Pasta and refunded me. I appreciated their attentive customer service. My food was still hot when it arrived. The chicken was flavorful and falling off the bone. The cabbage had good texture and taste. It wasn't soggy or underdone. The rice and peas were fluffy and seasoned well. "Great portion, great taste!!"
"I love oxtail and was excited to try theirs. My order came to a little over $40.00 and I felt though it was pricey, good oxtails is at times worth it. It was not tender, the gravy was overly sweet vs savory and overall taste was perhaps the worst oxtail that I have ever eaten. I also tried theirs shrimp Pattie...which was 6.75 that too was not very tasty. The rice and the vegetables were ok. They have a picture of rum cake but it says rock cake. I ordered a slice to see if it was actually rum cake or rock cake. Ps it was rock cake which is almost a cookie texture so there is an error on their website. I would not waste my money here unless it's for a regular spicy beef Pattie or bread. The authentic flavors that I know was definitely missing from both dishes. I want to say more but I don't want to be mean, just honest."

"The Fried Shrimp dinner was very good. The shrimp were fresh and large and cooked to perfection. I asked fo stew chicken gravy on my rice and peas. It was good. "I was honestly surprised by the portion size when my order arrived. For a medium oxtail, I expected a more generous serving. I received two larger pieces of oxtail along with two much smaller pieces that were mostly bone. The oxtail itself was flavorful and tender, and the rice was good, but there wasn’t enough gravy to go with all of the rice. Overall, the food tasted great, but the portion size didn’t match my expectations, especially for the price. I hope they consider being more generous with both the oxtail and the gravy."

"The grio and rice was flavorful. The grio was dry, which was not pleasant but the seasoning was good. The fried green plantains were soggy. Flavorful but soggy due to being in a container with the rest of the food. That's easily fixed by putting them in a separate container that doesn't hold much condensation. The rice was the best part. "The Curry Goat was delicious but they only gave me two pieces of meat with a bunch of bones!"
"I really wanted to like this place but it's really hit-or-miss. The fish was fried too hard to eat where I ended up just tossing it out. The last time I ordered, the chicken in my Hush Pasta was very "woody" where all the pieces crunched like I was chewing on cartilage. I wouldn't mind how expensive the food is if the quality actually reflected that. Seasoning is very good though. Unfortunately I am not willing to continue taking the risk. "

"This....was the best thing I have ever eaten. It was warm perfect. Flavorful. Seasoned well. I felt the love and care in the meal. 10/10 will be ordering again. It was fresh. The sausage was juicy. The eggs were perfect. The oatmeal? So sweet and perfect .....I could go on and on"
"Have been ordering here awhile and the consistency is atrocious, it tastes different every time and mostly bland. The rice is undercooked and hard , the amount of food for the price is a rip off when there are other better restaurants for the same
Price and nearly double the amount."

"High quality food and prob some of the best tacos around. "
"Sadly disappointed. I ordered the Grilled Half Chicken Mediterranean platter. The chicken was dried out, seemed like old reheated chicken , not freshly cooked. It wasn't seasoned, although the description mentioned green peppers, onion & curry powder there was none.. They also messed up my soda order; I ordered a Pepsi, but they sent me a ginger ale. I would not recommend ordering from Lakeview Deli"
