The yang-nyeum fried chicken was less sweet than I expected, and only slightly spicy; but the taste was very refined. The sauce played a wide array of flavours with a few stand-out strong notes. I order chicken from this place quite often because I truly believe it’s the best in town. However, today’s order was a bit disappointing. My partner and I noticed that the batter was much thicker than usual, which made the texture a little heavy. One of the thigh pieces also seemed slightly undercooked—it was bleeding a bit inside and had a faint off smell.
I still really enjoy this spot and hope this was just a one-time issue. Looking forward to better consistency next time!
