I'm kind of a connoisseur when it comes to turkey sandwiches, and the Portland Dip is that rare bird, a hot turkey sandwich that isn't smothered in mashed potatoes and gravy. But $20.00? For just a sandwich? When you can get a complete at a decent restaurant for the same price?
To add insult to injury, they make you choose a side, then charge an upsell for every side except fries. I don't happen to like fries, so I'm faced with either a) paying the upsell; b) ordering the fries and then throwing them away, or c) choosing "no side" but paying the full price. Neither option is acceptable to me.
Especially when you consider that, after adding in the driver tip and service fees, I'll be paying over $25.00 for just a sandwich.

The Stumptown Cold Brew was tasty, and just enough of a caffeine buzz I needed, but $7.00 and change is an awful lot to spend for an 11 oz serving. I could have gotten a 16 or 20 oz latte from a good coffeeshop for that price.
I've noticed that both restaurants and grocery stores tend to jack up the price on vegan products. The grocery store price for this item, though about 20% lower, was still too high, imo. "Sandwich was good, although it would have been easier to eat if it had been cut in two and/or held together with toothpicks. Roast beef was shaved thin and very tender. No pink showing, which was a plus for me (rare meat turns me iff). The au jus was kind of a dinky portion and arrived cold (30 seconds in the microwave fixed that). Price was right; I ended up paying $14.50 for the sandwich (including .50 for added mushrooms) and one side. A lot of the places on DoorDash charge $4.00 or $5.00 more for a similar sandwich.
The salad was a very basic fast food side salad: shredded iceberg lettuce, diced tomato, olives, shredded cheese and croutons. There is no choice of dressing; it came with ranch. But the lettuce and toppings were both fresh.
Bottom line: I would buy this sandwich again. I'd probably opt for either onion rings or the soup of the day instead of salad next time, though (both cost $1.00 extra). They also offer fries or tots at no additional charge.
