Pairs so well with the sweetness of the fried plantain and juicy butteriness of the cabbage. The rice and peas was less flavorful than usual, but hot and fresh. The Coco Bread was unfortunately not fresh and tasted freezer burned. I ordered the crab legs and lobster tail with their house sauce, mild, and it was REALLY good! The flavor was amazing the sauce had plenty of seasoning and brought everything together perfectly. The potatoes were cooked to perfection and soaked up all that delicious flavor.
My only small recommendation would be to keep an eye on the corn because mine was a little overcooked. But even with that, it definitely wasn’t enough to ruin the meal or stop me from ordering again.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed my food. Sometimes you have to try a place for yourself instead of letting the reviews make the decision for you. I’ll definitely be ordering from Hook & Reel again!"
