First off, I've been to a lot of sushi places in SD, LA, and SB and I can confidently say that this the hands down best sushi place of the 15+ sushi restaurants I've been to. My dad has traveled to Japan probably a dozen times over the last 10 years and he always told me the best way to judge the quality of a sushi restaurant is the wasabi and how quickly and fully it dissolves in the soy sauce - out of all the places I've been to, this is the ONLY place I've seen the wasabi dissolve in the soy sauce. As long as we live in San Diego, this will be the only place we go to and even if I lived outside of UTC, I would drive 30-45 minutes just to have the sashimi platter with blue fin tuna and our personal favorite the Spicy Salmon Baked roll. Also, try the Tiramisu for desert! Great place for a date or if you just want to enjoy some fresh fish!"
