"Food was excellent as always. The Lamb Masala (G) was incredible. Always need to get the Pashwari Naan - cant get enough of that! Chicken Tikka Masala (G) is a staple - always tasty. We've had most of their food and everything is always top notch."
"Bad value, bad quality, bland flavor. This had to be the worst Navrattan Korma (G) that I've ever had. It was just vegetable korma, and not a very good one. I would complain about the amount you get for $20, but in this case it wasn't a bad thing. Absolutely tasteless with mushy frozen veg; no flavor at all. Unfortunately, tasteless described the entire order. The Vegetable Samosa (2 pc)(v) were worse than the frozen kind you can buy. The Raita was definitely not worth $5 for watered down yogurt. Only 2 balls in the Gulab Jamun , and was just doughballs in sugar syrup, no flavor at all. "

"Took amazing care of us and the food was absolutely wonderful. We got a wide variety of dishes so far and liked everything we ordered. My wife loved the chicken tikka masala, which is usually too spicy for her but their mild was just right. The lamb melted and barely needed chewing. Fantastic place with amazing Indian food. "
"I was a little hesitant ordering from a restaurant with no reviews, but boy did it pay off! The butter chicken, chicken saag, and veggie pakora were all packed with flavor and absolutely delightful. In fact, the pakora were so good I ended up eating all of them before I even unpacked the rest of my food. I'm so glad there's such a great Indian restaurant in the neighborhood and can't wait to try something new next time! "

"The Shrimp Biryani is so flavorful and spicy, and the Mango Lassi is sweet and has a nice semi-thick consistency. Leaves a great impression on the taste buds, it is my favorite place to eat in philly!"
"I was highly disappointed in the quantity and quality of the food. This is my go to if I'm craving Indian food. The Garlic Naan and Gulab Jamun were burnt!!!! In addition, the portions have gotten extremely smaller. On top of that, my daughter's Chicken Tikka Masala was mostly tomatoes. Flavor awesome, but where's the chicken? "Chicken Tikka Masala was VERY good. Came with rice which was also pretty good. However, the portion size was below average for the price and I believe this dish should have come with Garli Naan Blissc which shouldn't have to be purchased separately. For the price, I won't be returning. Nonetheless, the food was excellent."
"I ordered Barfi. and a completely different /wrong dessert came. There was a buy one get one free Garlic Naan Bliss, so I ordered this special, but only one naan was provided and it was burnt. The food was not consistent with what I ordered. The sauce on the Chicken Tikka Masala broke and was oily. I would not order again."

"I absolutely love ordering from this restaurant, I tend to stick with my favorite butter chicken but it's always a rich sauce, not too oily. Wonderful spice to flavor ratio even when you order spicy. Of course garlic naan to get every last bit of sauce and portion sizes are good as well for the price in my opinion. "

"Venn Pongal's quantity has been increased since my previous review. It is okay in quantity now for the price. The food is very good and overall a very good Indian restaurant in the city!"
"The Kothu Parotta and the Masala Dosa were absolutely delicious- they're always our go to orders when are at Amma's/get takeout from them . Flavorful and filling. The Masala Dosa is definitely better served at the restaurant because the filling is kept separate from the dosa and after delivery time, the dosa is not as warm. Still, flavors are great. The Rasamalai was tasty but portions were small (only 3 pieces) and overpriced, texture of the cheese was denser than I've had at other places but still great. The Tamarind Fish curry (Meen Kulambu) was sweet, nice to try but not necessarily something I would order again. Overall I love Amma's- my favorite Indian spot in Philly. "

"Mozzarella Sticks (6)

Chicken Over Rice

"Overall it's a pretty good place to order from. Veggie burger is quite decent; it uses a fried veggie patty. But the veggie burger says it comes with a soda (ordered from lunch menu), but it actually doesn't. I've never received a drink with the burgers I've ordered. I usually get the desi pizza, though to be honest I can't tell a difference between their desi pizza and any other veggie pizza out there...there's no distinct difference in taste. The chaats are also quite good, but could use some more chutneys in my opinion. "

"Honest Indian is AMAZING and in my opinion, unmatched. If you love Indian food then please do not skip on this delicious place! They have so many varieties of dishes from different regions and I can't wait to try more. I finally got to take a proper photo of the Amul Butter Pav and today I added on a Cheese Chili Naan which was fantastic out of this world. Look at the photos-- look at those fresh ingredients! This is my favorite Indian restaurant, they make my food with love and care and reminds me of mum's cooking!"
"Food is good, but it's very expensive especially when you realize it doesn't come with rice or naan. The butter paneer had nice flavor and seasonings, the garlic naan was fluffy and not overcooked and the coconut chutney tastes mildly like a tahini hummus, but it wasn't $30+ worth of food good. I could get similar quality paneer that includes rice and plain naan for less than half of what I spent on this. Like I said, it's very good, but I probably won't order from here again."

"This was some of the best Lamb Vindaloo-(Spicy) I've ever had. My family loved their dishes too. Great portions, nice spice level, and they even labeled each dish. The mango Flavored Lassi were also AMAZING. Thick and super flavorful. Definitely ordering from here again. "
"I ordered Chicken Dum Biriyani, chicken tikka masala, saag our paneer, naan, and it costed me $105, was this worth it, absolutely NOT. Quantity is so less and bland, I would highly recommend look elsewhere. This cuisine has no idea what is meant by Biriyani. He has made with spice powders rather than making with masala. "First time trying this place. The fries were cooked perfectly well done, nice and crispy, the chicken had a fantastic flavor and was great on the quesadilla, and the cheese bread was decent, I wish the cheese had a stronger flavor I couldn't taste much except the sugar on the bread which was surprising to say the least, it's good and has a pretty good price point, it just needs more cheese preferably a stronger blend and herbs."

"I was disappointed with this meal. The Chicken And Lamb Gyro was not horrible. It was sloppy and bland, and it did not taste good! "First off, it is an, for me, expensive restaurant. however given it's location prices are probably right.
I ordered the Seafood Alfredo, and it was totally worth the price. The only thing I would change is to take the tails off the shrimp. I really don't like eating a great meal and having to stop to remove tails, lol. Then your fingers are covered in the best Alfredo sauce I've ever had, and I've had plenty from different resturants, lol.
From the moment I took the lid off and the awesome smell hit my nose my mouth started watering. Then my taste bugs thought they were in heaven with each bite.
i HIGHLY recommend you give it a try.
I did think the rolls that came with it were over cooked to a dark brown.
I also ordered the Beer Battered Onions Rings. I also thought they were over cooked to a dark brown. The onions were mush, but they were good enough to eat, I don't think I'd order them again. However, as a treat, I'd definitely order many times.
Thank you for reading my review, I hope it helps. Have a great night."

"The Chicken Shawarma Platter was delicious. Everything was seasoned well even the rice! The salad was clearly made with fresh ingredients because the veggies had a great crunch. Salad also didnt have a lot of lettuce which im not sure was purposeful but i was happy about it. I got the additional side of Hummus and it came inside of the platter as well. The $1 extra might be a little steep but the hummus was really good so it justified itself. The pita came included was soft. Id order again 100%"

"I couldn't believe how good everything tasted. especially the Lemon Potatoes . they were seasoned perfectly and weren't mushy. and the Chocolate Pie was so moist. I just ordered from there again to see if it was just a fluke. consistency seems to be an issue with the majority of places lately. but so far this place is 5 star"

"Sooooooo yummy. CHEETOS FLAMIN HOT CORN (ELOTE). Authentic. Perfect balances of flavor. Corn was well cooked. I was impressed.
Crispy Birria Tacos were unreal. FANTASTIC price. for just $20 you get 4 delicious tacos, two handmade salsa and a whole pint of pico. Also fresh made.
I asked for a side of cilantro and onion in the comments and they gave me a nice side for free. I really enjoyed this meal which is rare with DoorDash for me these days. Everything I could tell was made with love. As a line cook myself I can't tell you how much I appreciate a good meal at home. Thank you Mexican Grill La Güera."
"the green sauce is literally the best green sauce i've ever had no joke. the guac always comes with a ton of chips & pico de gallo, and the QUESABIRRIA corn tortilla is so delicious i cant even describe it. i often get this early in the week and then take leftovers throughout the week, like multiple days bc it stays good & theres a lot of it. i also use the birria sauce in cooking/marinades if i have extra. i get this regularly and while lots and lots on their menu is super good, this is my favorite! also its all packaged really securely, have never experienced a spill over many orders.tried to get everything in the pic but be aware i have eaten a bunch of the chips & tomatillo sauce. "This is the portion after mixing it up! Barely any food for the price! Mall food gives more portions with 1/3 of the cost! You can see how low the food is to the bowl line! Unbelievable! "This review is difficult for me to write because I genuinely want Malooga to thrive. I wish there were a Malooga in every county in Pennsylvania.
The lamb haneeth was fall-off-the-bone tender and beautifully seasoned, laid over a bed of fragrant rice that tasted as though it had been cooked in the same rich stock as the lamb. Shame on me for ordering takeout, but even after sitting for more than 45 minutes, the dish was still literally finger-licking good.
The moment I opened the container and smelled that gentle loft of lamb smoke, I went back and washed my hands a second time. Utensils were not needed. In fact, if my Arab friends saw me eating lamb this good with a fork, I would probably be severely corrected.
The only proper way to eat it is to gather some rice in your hand, press it into a ball, add a piece of lamb, and create a chaotic orchestra of flavor in a single bite—then thank God.
So yes, foodies and anyone who appreciates Yemeni or Hijazi cuisine: Malooga is absolutely for you.
My only problem—and it is a meaningful one—is the price. A ten-minute drive toward University City will take you to several restaurants serving similar dishes for nearly half the cost. The consistency may not always match Malooga’s, but you can still get that warm, home-cooked experience at a much more approachable price.
I say this with affection because the Main Line does not have many authentic halal options like Malooga. But honestly, habibis, your business would be better served by repeat regulars than by customers who can justify coming only once a month when the craving becomes too strong.
If there is room to make a little less on each order, please consider it. The margins feel unnecessarily high, and that is disappointing because the food itself gives people every reason to return. People want to eat out. Give them an affordable reason to make Malooga part of their regular lives, rather than an occasional indulgence."
"I am a foodie and I regularly order take out from many different restaurants. I am extremely impressed with the taste of this delicious Chicken Mandi and the portions that were given! Malooga was extremely generous in the size of the chicken as well as the quantity of rice given with the huge piece of chicken. the food tasted extremely fresh, and was so rich in it's herbal profile. I am so glad I tried this place, and hands down this is the best restaurant I have tried on DoorDash so far. I would definitely order again and would recommend everyone to try this delicious Chicken Mandi. I actually am considering dining in this restaurant and catering from here in the near future! Thank you so much for the delicious and satisfying food Malooga!!! I'm really excited to eat here again, and share this place with friends and family in the near future!!!"
