"Delicious salted fish filet (a bit salty but I like salty, fried, tender fish, perfect). I really liked their Beef Chow Fun (dry-style, has a nice hint of smokiness, beef is tender). Friendly gentleman took my order when I picked up my order. They're really grateful for business. I'll order from them again."

"The best Chinese place I've had. I am now looking to go and eat here because the quality and quantity is amazing. My bento was delicious and I couldn't recommend this more, the price is worth the meal as the quantity is generous and the taste is worth it. The garlic noodles were the best, the crab rangoons were the best, everything was the best."

"Ordered the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup and the Cabbage & Pork Dumplings.

"L13. 家鄉炒米Hometown Fried Rice Noodle has good taste but chucks of meat need to sliced smaller L31. Salted Fish W/ Chicken Fried Rice was ok. The rice a little too mushy for my liking. Also needs to chop down the sizes of their meats and eggs. A5. 椒鹽雞翼 Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings always a favorite. You get 8 wings and are full of flavor. A4. 椒鹽豆腐粒 Salt & Pepper Tofu is also one of must have. So far they have made the tastiest tofu. Use to be Fat Wong's but they went downhill and no longer a restaurant. "I have tried a handful of Chinese restaurants in the area and this place of one of the best overall. I ordered a B. Family Dinner for 2 People. Each dish was fresh and hot. The chow mein was super yummy, not bland at all. The entrees had a good amount of meat and veggies. The soup was good as well. Sometimes when you order multiple dishes there's one or two that are just kinda meh. That was not the case here, everything was delicious. "Easily some of the best noodles I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Great takeout option and well worth the price. I had the Traditional Lanzhou Hand Pulled Noodles 传统兰州牛肉拉面 and my gf had the noodle with pork ribs. The portions were very generous, enough for two meals! The broth was absolutely delicious and perfect for cold weather. I recommend getting the extra thin noodles to soak up more broth!"
"This is the second time I ordered from here and I liked this a lot.
Beef Ribs & Daikon In Clear Broth Noodle Soup 清汤牛腩拉面 was super delicious. I got mine with the flat noodles and my partner got the regular noodles. The broth was really nice and everything tasted good. I do wish there was more daikon and bok choy, but it was fine as is. I also added a little bit of chili oil which took it to the next level. Today I finished the rest of my soup with grilled cheese and it was the perfect sacrilegious combo. 😂
Spicy Oil Dumpling 红油饺子 were also really good and I appreciate that they put the chili oil on the side so I could put my desired amount on there.

"i love the porridge, but the one thing that i was kind of dissappointed in was the amount of chicken i got. i paid 6$ extra for some chicken and i only got a small portion. i was expecting more but i got maybe 4 pieces of chicken with bone. overall, the porridge was bomb but just disappointed in the portions."
"All good! I don't usually go for Walnut Prawn 核桃蝦球 these days, but it was well-executed (crunchy walnuts on the side, monstrous prawns in a mayo-dressing) and a fun change. The Braised duck with fresh mushroom and ginger 鮮冬菇老薑燜鴨煲 is a more Chinese presentation - you gotta nibble at the little duck bones. So good dish if you're ready to work at it a bit. Chinese Sausage & Dry Scallop Fried Rice 瑤柱臘味炒飯 was def a good break from traditional pork fried rice - sweet, dry Chinese sausage and the rice was well-textured with scallop bits in it. Finally, I'm always a sucker for Egg Custard Buns 奶皇流沙包 and these didn't disappoint - they're the orange variety, a bit gushy and squirty, sweet and still steamy.
Glad I finally got a chance to try these guys and want to keep them in business. I will def return myself to try some of the good stuff I had to pass on this first visit -"

"Both the pork dumplings with napa cabbage and pork & shrimp dumplings with chives contained a good amount of filling. Green beans were tasty and flavorful but very saucy. Chicken knife cut noodles were good but also saucy."
"The 3. 🔥NEW🔥钟水饺 Szechuan Dumpling（10） (Pork Dumpling with Napa Cabbage) sum were not spicy at all, and was missing that chewy texture and was slightly soggy. The sauce they were in was more of regular mild vinegar soy flavor just topped with a little chili oil. The filling was proportionate to the size of dumpling however they lacked flavor and could have used some salt or msg. The 2. Chicken Wings were not tender and was hard to get off the bone and the skin was almost inedible and could benefit from a longer cook time or prior marinating/tenderizing. The way that it was packaged did not allow the steam to vent which made the crispy skin soggy. They were also flavorless by themselves. The onion, garlic and jalapeño topping was the only thing that saved this dish. Unfortunately I will not be ordering again."

There were a few others waiting for order pickups as well. Maybe the restaurant is more of a dinner place? Regardless, the food was very flavorful and piping hot. From the hong kong noodles (with separate container of sauce+toppings), basil chicken + shrimp, and won ton soup, everything tasted GREAT! My only nit is that the basil dish was a bit heavy on oil. "If you can get past the name of this place, I highly recommend it! Just know that this is NOT Texas BBQ and as far as I can tell, the meat's not even barbecued but grilled. But with those little details out of the way, the food is nonetheless delicious! I got the 2-meat BBQ Meat Combo with lamb and chicken. The lamb is cubed and cooked on skewers (you get 4), and you get a bunch of chicken! These sit on a huge pile of basic fried rice (rice fried with soy sauce) and a scoop of potato salad. It's a lot of food! And much more than I could finish. The lamb is seasoned perfectly with plenty of cumin and Chinese 5-spice, while the chicken is marinated with a slightly sweet sauce and it's super tender! "

"1. I'm disappointed they put all 3 types of dumplings in the same box even though it was 3 separate orders. Please don't do this! Food allergies are real and I have them, so that was really not cool at all. Luckily I was not allergic to anything in the box, but if I was, this review would be very different. I can appreciate that supplies are expensive, but putting people at risk for cross contamination and allergic reactions is unacceptable. Saving a few dollars on your bottom line is not worth someone's life. 3 separate orders=3 separate boxes.

"if you like Szechuan food and tingling numbing mala spice, this is one of my favorite restaurants. The Wonton with Spicy Peanut Sauce 红油抄手 , the Couple's Delight夫妻肺片 and Szechuan Chili Lamb 小炒黑山羊 are some of best on the Peninsula. It's always fresh and delicious."
"These are the best wontons - great filling but spicy peanut sauce is the star. We have yet to try wontons from another place that comes close to these. Sour & spicy soup also good, and the large is huge (would have gotten a small for 2 people had we known the portion size). "

"B-6. 焗牛脷飯 / 意粉 / Baked ox tongue with rice/spaghetti was hot, creamy, and tongue was not overcooked. There are mushrooms. My only suggestion would be to stir fry the egg rice a little longer because it's on the mushier side. Overall pretty good."
"Did not taste good at all.
Was supposed to be Beef Stew Noodle Soup, no soup or pinch of soup, NOTHING at all. Very, very dry
I'm paying $1.90 for each middle joint of chicken (I was only given 5 middle joint chicken)
Combination fried rice was not, fried rice.
I don't call this fried rice, top was wrapped in ??? I have no idea it should not be under Chinese Food

"panda express tastes better than this place- no seasoning on the J23. String Beans and Eggplant with Garlic or J9. Sauteed Chinese Green with Garlic... and C10. Hot and Sour Soup is one of the worst i've ever had- almost no meat, no white pepper and minimal tofu, just watery"

"Presentation of the Boiling Bejing fish was not appealing! It was like two fish sitting in mud! I could not eat it. But according to my kids it tasted okay. It had a five spice taste that I did not care for.
Sweet and Sour whole fish was phenomenal! Yum!
Walnut shrimp was a bit overcooked and so were the candied walnuts giving it a bitter taste. Also the tail skins were not removed. I did like that they added fresh pineapples to the dish!
Overall I would order here again and try other dishes! "

"The dishes at Chez Xue are amazing. I visit SF monthly and I always make to have atleast one dinner each trip at Chez Xue. My personal favorites are the Beijing Jah Jang Meeann, this noodle dish is incredible, Mao's pork belly, also amazing and so tasty. The hot and sour soup is also definitely worth trying. Any dish I've tried has been awesome. You really can't go wrong. Enjoy! "
"You pay over 20 bucks per dish to find out the portion is tiny and pitiful. Barely enough to feed a toddler. Try avoid getting doordash from store.
Flavor is so so comparing to well know Bay Area hunan cuisine like Hunan Impression and Ping Bistro. "
