I also tried the Thatte Idli. I have had idli from another place and fell in love with the texture. They are light and fluffy and total sponges for the sambar, ghee, and or chutney. They are killer dipped in the Malai Kofta gravy too! Total new fave for me! Oh, and the puri? That was new to me but basically, they were large, about 4to 6 inches in diameter, and I'm sure completely puffed up right out of the frier but were flat by the time they arrived. Nature of the beast. Not the restaurants fault. They were still tasty. Alone they taste like sopapillas or fry bread and are fantatistic dipped in the gravy and sambar."
