"Arrived hot and tasty!!! Omg literally my favorite comfort food. The portion was enough for two meals so now I have lunch for tomorrow too! The Spinach (Saag) is some of the best I've had in Philly. Don't skip the Garlic Cheese Naan either it's soooo good"
"Samosa is delicious, I like how the potatoes lose coherence in the mixture.
Why is the Tikka Masala watery, sweet and unflavored? I'm consuming sweet red water with chicken in it.
Mango Lassi is too sweet, and it's $7 for a tiny cup."

"Venn Pongal's quantity has been increased since my previous review. It is okay in quantity now for the price. The food is very good and overall a very good Indian restaurant in the city!"
"The Kothu Parotta and the Masala Dosa were absolutely delicious- they're always our go to orders when are at Amma's/get takeout from them . Flavorful and filling. The Masala Dosa is definitely better served at the restaurant because the filling is kept separate from the dosa and after delivery time, the dosa is not as warm. Still, flavors are great. The Rasamalai was tasty but portions were small (only 3 pieces) and overpriced, texture of the cheese was denser than I've had at other places but still great. The Tamarind Fish curry (Meen Kulambu) was sweet, nice to try but not necessarily something I would order again. Overall I love Amma's- my favorite Indian spot in Philly. "

"Absolutely loved the Beef Bhuna Rasmalai Butter Naan everything hit the spot! and this coming from a desi food habitual critic. Cant believe the prices too, the naan was huge and properly weighty enough for one. Rasmalai is perfect and a steal at 4 bucks, you get 5 plus cheeses a whole meal by itself. Beef was absolutely delicious just like how I remember from back home absolutely devoured it. Something that needs improvement is packaging, a plastic bag is not proper. Loved the meal tho"
"The Chicken Biryani was DELICIOUS! Nice and spicy how I asked for it, the portion and the Raita was great on top. Everything tasted so fresh you taste all the ingredients &it was so much food that I have enough for lunch tomorrow. Definitely ordering from here again."

"Really like the samoosa for the various distinct spices used and the fact the whole coriander is used. Also, the garlic naan, its strange to say this but you can actually taste the fresh garlic in every bite. I would order those two again."
"Turmeric is hands down one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to. The flavors are rich, authentic, and freshly prepared. The curries taste just like home, and the naan is soft and fluffy. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving true Indian food."

"The flavor of food is good, however the portions are very small for the amount that you pay. "The food came relatively quickly, and is still hot!! Each dish is delicious and a decent amount of food. The Chicken Chef's Special Biryani is very flavorful. The Tandoori Roti came with two big pieces. "
"Flavorful and good portions, though curries were runnier than I generally like. Paneer tikka Masala tasted sweet (but this seems to be common with Indian restaurants in Philly, never had that elsewhere). Cheese Naan was also good. I like that everything in the menu was labeled as vegan/vegetarian where applicable. They also labeled containers with people's initials which was a nice touch and made it easy to dole out everyone's orders. "

"Took amazing care of us and the food was absolutely wonderful. We got a wide variety of dishes so far and liked everything we ordered. My wife loved the chicken tikka masala, which is usually too spicy for her but their mild was just right. The lamb melted and barely needed chewing. Fantastic place with amazing Indian food. "
"I was a little hesitant ordering from a restaurant with no reviews, but boy did it pay off! The butter chicken, chicken saag, and veggie pakora were all packed with flavor and absolutely delightful. In fact, the pakora were so good I ended up eating all of them before I even unpacked the rest of my food. "I ordered Chicken Dum Biriyani, chicken tikka masala, saag our paneer, naan, and it costed me $105, was this worth it, absolutely NOT. "Ordered a C5 Chicken Tikka Masla and Tandoori Rotti i. The chicken was delicious, but unfortunately, it was excessively oily, making the overall dish too greasy compared to other Indian restaurants. Additionally, the Tandoori Roti seemed to be made with more white flour than wheat flour, which I didn't enjoy, and it too was overly oily.
In another separate order, we tried the Navratan Korma, which was also excessively greasy. I wish they would use less oil in their cooking; I prioritize both taste and health when dining out. It's a good restaurant to eat in if you just care about the taste."

"The Tandoori Wings, Butter Chicken Pizza, and Garlic Sticks W/ Cheese all three dishes had great flavor. The wings were well seasoned and with good chunks of meat. The Butter Chicken Pizza had the perfect balance of flavors (I found some of the other pizzas to be spicy). And the Garlic Sticks W/ Cheese was crispy, crunchy, and cheesy.
This place is also BYOB. Can't wait to try out this fast casual restaurant in person. "
"The tandoori chicken pizza was not worth the money. There was barely any chicken and no sauce. So it was pretty much cheese and small bits of chicken. I ordered a large size pizza , but they're large is the size of a medium size pizza. I would not order from them again. So many Pizza shops are in the area. Chilli veg moomo is the best one and the portion is so good.
I felt it's fresh and I would order from here again. "

"My Egusi came fresh & hot! It was packed to the top of the bowl & had a variety of meat ranging from smoked turkey cuts & chicken. I ordered it with white rice & would definitely order again!"
"Really good food! Good price/portion! The jollof rice could be more flavor but the sauces on the side made up for that. Chicken was super tender and well seasoned. Plantain was cooked to perfection! And I love the addition of the pasta salad on the side, it pairs well, very refreshing! "

"the Butter Chicken was packed with flavor, the sauce was plentiful and creamy. both type of rice tasted very fresh. the yellow rice in particular was my favorite, the saffron flavor was amazing. i would order again. the garlic naan was like the cherry on top!"
"The raita was seeet for some reason and I asked for extra raita and didn't receive my extra one. But I'm glad I didn't bc I actually didn't like it. The portion size is actually crazy. It's pretty small for what they're charging. The rice for the hyderbadi Chicken biriyani wasn't cooked properly and was kind of undercooked. I wasn't too happy with my order and won't be ordering from them again"

"As always the Kashmiri Naan was excellent. They even put a sizeable amount of raisins in it. I'm happy, because I luv raisins.
The Vegetable Samosa were excellent also.
I did not like The Veggie Pakora. I'm sure it was air fried because It was not crispy-It was kinda soft. A mouthful of mush"
"I order from (or dine at) Saffron in Bala Cynwyd sometimes. This is a different Saffron completely, and not as good. Samosas are very salty outside and mushy inside. All of the sauces are quite runny. The flavors aren't bad, so maybe it's better when it's not so late at night?"

"Chicken Tikka Masala was VERY good. Came with rice which was also pretty good. However, the portion size was below average for the price and I believe this dish should have come with Garli Naan Blissc which shouldn't have to be purchased separately. For the price, I won't be returning. Nonetheless, the food was excellent."
"I ordered Barfi. and a completely different /wrong dessert came. There was a buy one get one free Garlic Naan Bliss, so I ordered this special, but only one naan was provided and it was burnt. The food was not consistent with what I ordered. The sauce on the Chicken Tikka Masala broke and was oily. I would not order again."

"Rose cinnamon roasted almonds & Baklava weren't bad but they weren't great either! By the descriptions I expected them to be bursting with flavor but they were more underwhelming, bland! Expected way more for the price too!"
