"I love Ethiopian food. I've tried most of the restaurants in Portland. Lalibella is a cut above all the others. Their flavors, their consistency, the freshness of proteins and produce is on point. Hands down the best Ethiopian food in Portland, IMO. We (two adults) ordered the Family combo and everything was tasty and well packaged (in plastic unfortunately). We eat big portions and we still had left overs. They send plenty of bread with delivery orders. We also ordered the samosas and wow, those are great! They've got a spicy kick but not too much heat, just enough to wake up your tasters. Highly recommend anything from Lalibela."

I've tried the chicken one before though the pork one is far superior in my opinion. I chose the chicken enchilada which Iwas happy to see they actually have shredded chicken made from scratch and I also chose the chili relleno which was good as well. "The food is delicious, crispy, hot, but not fresh. HOWEVER, don't let that deter you. Each premade burrito is stamped and sealed with an ornate brand scorched into the breading. This shows love and creativity throughout. The other items on the menu are not an exception. Truly exquisite. Vegan Soy Chorizo Burrito Bacon and Egg Burrito Zanzibar Spiced Coffee African Samosa - Veggie (1 pc) African Samosa - Beef (1 pc) with vegan alternatives that surpass or are on par with their meat counterparts.
My only complaint would be the Samosas are a bit small, they should either be cheaper or more expensive but include two of them.
So two for 7.50 would be acceptable, and possibly a house chutney with an African Cuisine twist to go alongside the samosas. This can be an upcharge! Delicious regardless!
