I've tried 6 different Indian restaurants in Prince George, and this is probably the best one, though a couple others are very good too. The main standout feature with this place is they use whole spices, so the tastes is unmistakably superior. You just can't compare when you can taste the full anise and cardamom flavor. They don't let you pick the spiciness level like some places. It's quite spicy, but not extremely so. Some people would prefer less spicy; some people who like it VERY hot, would prefer more. For ME the spiciness level here is perfect, so this will definitely be one of my go-to places while I'm here."

"This time I tried the lasagna. Key point: it's definitely better than anything you can buy frozen from the supermarket. It's more cheesy. The sauce is actually quite tasty. It has a strong vegetable taste of celery and carrots. If you look at other options, fresh lasagna from Costo has a little bit more meat in it. Personally I could go either/or. If you're a vegetarian, you'll probably very much like this. I also had their BBQ chicken pizza again. They could add a little more meat on it, but two good things I failed to mention last time was the onions make it quite savory, and I think the BBQ sauce is actually PERFECT. You have a nice taste of oregano, and it's tart: not too sweet."

The poutine was quite good as well but as my dasher made 3 stops before getting to me and was 30 late it was a bit cold (expected with take out poutine. The pub cheese mix was a classic shredded mix, but this was in addition to proper mozzarella cheese curd. Probably the best poutine curds in town besides Costco (though they may use the same ones). Any run of the mill donair shop in Vancouver gives you more contents than this. It was also very fatty. Adding a little fat for flavor is good, but it shouldn't be dripping fat, and that shouldn't be ALL you taste. Not spiced well or anything. This place was a serious letdown. "

"I almost didn't try this place because it's a little most costly than other options. I've been in Prince George about a year, and I'm making it a point to try as many Indian restaurants as possible. I believe this one is number 7. Honestly, this was one of the best ones: you use whole spices; the taste was fantastic; the quantity was good, but as a Dashpass member it's just not worth it for me. You guys really need to get on board the Dashpass train. It costs me $5 extra to order from here. For that reason, I would probably not order from here again. You have a lot of competition, and this other place not only is Dashpass, but they offer discounts too. That's a $10 difference. Your restaurant is better quality, but it's not $10 better, so I have to pick the competition every time. Just letting you know."

Funny, because 10 years ago I overheard an employee at the OPA Kamloops location telling the new guy "some people want to get the most expensive thing, but the best items are the wraps," and that kinda seems to be true. The pita bread was well toasted, which I appreciate. They're not super cheap with the quantity of feta, like this one other place I tried. The lamb was juicy and well prepared. Like I said in a past review, the standard is there. The people who work here can definitely take pride in their work.
