I guess I can see how some folks would perceive the food as "lacking flavor," but I could also argue they have an immature palate (hehe). The ingredients are able to speak for themselves and are not overwhelmed by an aggressive amount of salt. Very fresh, components meant to be warm were still cozy hot in temp when arrived as well!
It smelled so incredible, I immediately took a piece of falafel by hand to mouth. Delightfully oily in a way that it didn't make me feel like I was making out with the fryer and so texturally satisfying. Speaking of texturally satisfying ... that saj bread! "All the kebabs were good chicken, shrimp, and the lamb.
The lamb was not on a skewer but in my pita wrap (gyro?!), and because its's lamb/mutton it was chewy, and there was some gristle lumps.
I guess I'm used to the stacked and shaved for that particular meat, avoiding the extra chew and gristle.
It was nicely cooked and seasoned, though.
This IS a kebab shop, after all.
The shrimp was small, but cooked and seasoned well.
The cucumber yogurt dip is basically tzatziki, and I ordered lots, because I was taking a chance, and I love the stuff, and my hopes were fulfilled.
Though I should have spread out my sauce/dressing choices, to get samples of those too.
The pita was fresh and still warm, even though I was 6+ miles away in extended delivery area.
My special request for no tomatoes in the wrap and the salad was honored.
I really liked the option to order 2 ounce cups of various sides, allowing me to sample before ordering what I like next time.
