"I'm a sucker for decent Mexican food. I've only found a couple around New Iberia that are worth the bother. El Mariachi is one such place. I've NEVER had a bad meal from them.
Tonight's repast was 51. Enchiladas Tradicionales. It comes with beans and rice and a small guac salad. The enchiladas are covered in green sauce which I find to be more flavorful and complex. This is much closer to traditional than most of the Gringo-ized Mexican restaurants in town.

The 43. Tamal Mexicano plate offers tamal, chili relleno and an enchilada like piece. The tortilla seemed as though it saw a little too much time in the connection oven. It was crispy in places. The chili relleno has part of the cooked batter stuck to the lid which ripped immediately as I opened it. Regardless, the taste was still superior to other restaurants who lean far more Americanized than traditional Mexican.
The 50. Enchiladas Dinner has rice and beans, something the tamal plate sadly lacks. While the tamal plate is my go to, the enchiladas are my secondary choice.

I usually dont order onions because the flavor of raw onion isnt good to me and I feel like it takes away the flavor from the meat.
