"The recipe was different for the panang curry than we remembered- it didn't used to have bamboo shoots in it - so it was as good (to us!) as usual. BUT it was still good! We live about 20-25 minutes from the restaurant but the food travelled well. The Kao Pad fried rice with veggies was delicious! "I made a small delivery order online with Door Dash and the two items were really delicious.
The miso soup is made with white miso (instead of the red miso). I prefer white miso because it's less salty and lighter.
Secondly, the steamed gyoza has six pieces and the soy and vinegar sauce that is served on the side is very tasty. The gyoza here can be ordered steamed or fried. I was pleased that it accompanies the gyoza and isn't just straight soy sauce. I like to add a few drops of chili oil for a bit more flavor when I'm cooking it at home.
I am impressed with the flavor and texture of the food and will likely visit the restaurant in person next time. My only complaint is that the delivery didn't include chopsticks or napkins. So be sure to request it when ordering online.
Otherwise, this Japanese restaurant served pretty authentic Japanese-flavored food."
