"I've been a customer for years and I never had and problems or complaints of any source. Every time I go to their establishment there very polite and customer friendly and the food is to die for. And if you're a true customer you are aware of them offering you there special oatmeal and you got to try the hot pastrami and Swiss cheese on a buttered toasted roll and mayo. So if you never been to Pharos you have to try it because it's finger licking good but it's not KFC!!!"
"This was our first time eating from here. It was amazing. It reminded me of the breakfasts my southern mom would make us growing up. Definitely get the cheese grits (go for the large!) and the corned beef hash sandwich is a great choice as well. They also made the bacon perfectly crispy (so few places do). We will definitely be ordering from here again. Its probably a good thing its quite a bit of a drive away, otherwise id be tempted to order every day lol "

"This is not the first time we are ordering from Minimart deli. The quality of the food is amazing and the portions are very good. I found them by word of mouth. "At the time of this review, we've ordered from Neelam's twice. Food has been absolutely delicious every time. I don't normally eat Indian food, but Neelam's got me hooked and their food is fresh-tasting and high-quality. Great place!
Their Garlic Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala (Neelam Special), Butter Chicken (Chicken Makhni), and both the vegetable and meat samosas are awesome!"
"I asked for medium spice and there was no spice at all :( so disappointed. The pieces of Chicken Tikka Masala (Neelam Special) were so big I literally took two bites and gave it to someone else. & my naan was burnt :(((( Wouldn't order again."

"The Lamb Makhani (Butter Lamb) is astounding. The lamb is super tender and every bite is just a flavor bomb in your mouth. I also love that you can personalize the spice level, as I prefer it spicy and most places don't offer the choice when ordering online. Also love that when my food arrived (it was far so took a good chunk of time) it was piping hot! I will definitely order again."
"The Chicken Tikka Masala was awful, it was watered down as if they accidentally poured a lot of water into the dish. The sauce was extremely thin and flavorless, the chicken was dry. I tried my best but it was just pointless to chew on tough and tasteless food, I threw it in the trash sadly. Never in my life did I think I would say Indian food had No flavor, so disappointed in Begum.
The dish did not come with rice, I had to order it separately, which is normally not a problem, but the other two dishes ordered came with rice and the rice portion with those was twice the size of the tiny $7 side of rice!
The second worst dish was the Shrimp Coconut. This dish was also very thin / watered down. We did not have to throw this one away, but better quality was still expected.
I ordered from Begum years ago when a friend lived in Chatham, it was so very good. The sauces I remember were rich and flavorful, the meat was never tough.
After this experience, I can't trust to order from here again :/"

"Indian Street Style Chicken Fried Rice is not as good as it seems. The choice of vegetables is random, and the chef just picks whatever veggies and onions they can find and throws them in. The Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka, Sheekh Kabob, Goat Bhunnah and Rice Pudding (dessert) were all delicious. Plenty of rice for a family of 6. I had ordered extra rice (only $3) but not necessary. "First of all, their behavior with customers is incredibly charming. This was one of the best meals I have ever had. The quality of their food is unbeatable. Their food is so good. It is clean and the price of their food is very low compared to other restaurants. You get a lot of food for a small amount of money.I request those of you who are reading these comments of mine to not just take my word for it, but to place an order and see for yourself, then you will understand how good the quality of the food is.I wish this restaurant a bright future. I believe if they continue this food quality then their restaurant will be profitable one day.I don't know who made my meal, but I want to thank him for giving me such a beautiful meal. Thank you again 💟"

"This was the first time that I've tried pani puri and it was pretty good! I liked the slight spice in the liquid and the filling was aromatic. You have to put the sauce on it altogether though to complete it. The chicken masala wrap had a buttery paratha (?) and the filling was pretty soft/mushy, but there were bits of onion that helped and the flavor was really good with good spice. This chai is probably the most authentic that I've had (not saying much), sweet, warm, and spiced. "
"Sandwhich was not spicy at all. No flavor but the bread was really good.
Pau bhaji did not look like pau bhaji. It was dark brown/black and it tasted like eggs. I don't eat eggs so this was really disappointing. I will not order from here again as a vegetarian. "

"Posting a late review, but I've somehow become a regular here. I absolutely love their sambhar—every dish is full of authentic South Indian flavor. They even offer sambhar as a standalone takeaway, which is a favorite of mine.
Once, I requested no pongal or sheera in my mini thali via DoorDash. They actually called me to confirm and kindly replaced them with extra vada and idli. That level of service really stood out. Overall, great food and excellent takeaway service!"
