"Delicious. I got the jerk sauce on the side so I could savor the meat on its own and it did not disappoint. Smoky grill flavor. Sauce was sweet and spicy, like me. Rasta past was zesty and spicy but not too much. Enough to feel in the corners of your lips. Yams were very sweet and tender which balanced the heat from the jerk and rasta pasta. The pie was delicious but definitely didn't taste like the bow tie brothers the Nation. Overall, my palate was very pleased and satisfied and I can't wait to eat the rest for lunch tomorrow. "This was a very good sized portion of very good food. I ordered the ackee and salt fish breakfast plate that also came with 2 pieces of yams, some plantains and a boiled banana and dumpling. "First we love Lula's! it is the best Dominican place around! No one wanted the tres golpes pizza to slam more than our Italian/Dominican family but it needs some work. While the cheese, salami, and egg are delicious, you really miss the flavors of mangu and pickled onions which aren't on the pizza. The pizza part was all wrong because the marinara sauce is weirdly sweet like it has sugar. Also despite it taking 3x longer to arrive than other orders, it was still undercooked floppy dough because the toppings are too heavy. You need to cook the pizza first in a hotter oven and add the toppings at the end. It's a cool attempt, glad we tried it, and wasn't bad tasting but it could be great with some tweaks. For now I'd stick to the regular tres golpes (delicious) and just get pizza from a pizza place."
