The flavors conflict and it is off-putting. Ruined the meal which I have been ordering both in CA and AZ for over 20 years! The bill came to $105 with two turkey dinners, 15 or 20% tip, two $6 deserts and a one-person small slab of carrot bread. We can order an upscale prime rib dinner for that! "The pho broth is rich and savory, you can taste all of the spices and they stand out deliciously. Fresh and packaged to perfection. My only observation (not a complaint) that lifted my eyebrows - the spring rolls were filled with leafy greens, not the standard rice noods and mix-ins. "I'm not a huge "review guy", but I feel compelled to write a little about tonight's meal. I got the lamb chops, and a side of hummus. To get a to-go order that has this much flavor, quality, and even cooking was astounding. When I opened the to-go container, I saw food that looked better than what you'd see on a menu photo. Eating the food did not fall short either. The meat was juicy and full of flavor, without being seasoned too much. The salad wasn't over dressed and the rice was perfect. Like, I was just sitting here smiling from satisfaction...That's when it dawned on me that hey, this is not normal and whoever made this dish deserves credit. My only knock would be that the hummus was not listed as à la carte, and did not come with bread or pita chips.
If lamb or hummus are in your wheel house, I highly recommend ordering from this joint. Maybe next time I'll pop in in person instead of getting it to go."
