The chicken is seasoned perfectly with a bit of smokiness, cooked to perfection, and sits on a bed of beautifully fragrant rice. There is a spicy sauce or mixture that comes with it, possibly zahawig, that is the perfect compliment to the smoky richness. The portion is very large, and easily provides a substantial meal plus lunch for the next day or two. Saj Alreef is definitely one of our favorites, we order from them several times a month."

"The Island Chick is the BEST hot chicken sandwich. Ignore the older reviews. The slaw, sauce and pickles go perfectly with the seasoned chicken (breaded and spiced perfectly). It's not overwhelming, the spice- the right kick. Mac N Cheese has a Smokey taste that is unique and very good. Potato Salad could maybe use slightly less mayo mixture but thats minor. It was smooth and creamy. And the Little Chicks Korean sauce was amazing. Even packaged, the presentation was solid. The taste? As good as it looks. Highly recommend. This beats anything in the Oakland/Macomb area. 9.8/10! "

"The Steamed Chicken Dumplings (7) were the best I've found in a while, I've been searching for good dumplings! The Shanghai Jumbo Wonton Soup was pretty good, lots of wontons! The House Lo Mein was what I've been looking for as well, finally a good thick noodle and not spaghetti. The egg roll was also good, not just full of vegetables, actual meat and it was thick. Finally the Crispy Sweet & Sour Chicken (Lunch Special) was pretty good, nothing crazy special but the sauce itself was really good. "The Greek Salad is ok but the chicken shwarma (used for the salad topping) has a very strange smell to it. It's almost like the chicken was sitting in old grease for a long time. The smell is making me gag, so I can't finish my salad.
Plenty of bread and garlic spread came with the ssalad which is good because thats all I will be able to eat.
The House Potatoes are well seasoned with a good crisp to them.
Overall, I would order from here again but stay away from getting the chicken on my salad.

"WOW this is truly authentic middle eastern cooking and haven't been reminded of this charbroiled flavor since being overseas. My family is Iraqi so I've had tons of different middle eastern food until now and this is by far my favorite. #1 spot out of Shelby Twp, Sterling Heights, and Dearborn food by far. BBQ meats taste amazing but charbroiled is another level and layer of flavor. The Charbroiled Whole Chicken / دجاجة على الفحم is butterflied and then grilled which is served over two options of rice. Never had whole grilled chicken like that before and is so delicious. I enjoyed the brown rice (beryani style) and yellow rice very much, but the beryani style was a perfect balance of peppered and Mediterranean seasonings. Honestly better than I've had at holiday gatherings, they killed it! We also had the combo tray for 4 and it was served over pita bread fresh off the grill. I really enjoyed the kabob and cream chop. The cream chop came crispy and tasted like it just got cooked seconds ago and I have never gotten cream chop to go that wasn't soggy. Delicious. The food came in aluminum trays with a layer of saran wrap so the food came piping hot when it arrived and I live pretty far. Bringing the food inside, I could barely carry it because that's how much food you get and even the packaging was hot to the touch. The portions are HUGE and for a great price. The presentation on the Charbroiled Whole Chicken / دجاجة على الفحم was actually really nice too. Can't beat the flavor, price, and portions so it's a win-win-win for me."
