The Brocco-lee had very little broccoli in it; it was, in fact, predominantly carrots, water chestnuts, and bamboo shoots. Total of 4 big broccoli stalks. The zucchini I paid $2 to add was maybe 4 hearty pieces. NBD but was hoping for more brocc & zucc. It's right there in the name! It was also packaged in the absolute worst possible container for a saucy dish - one of those flip-top styrofoam containers like you'd put a sandwich & fries in. Now, I've been a restaurant manager and I know you gotta keep costs down, and when you do a lot of takeout business those containers add up. Now for the GOOD! The entree was a massive portion. I mean colossal. While they might be saving on takeout containers, they are def not scrimping on ingredients. Tons of nice-quality beef. The sauce was tasty and the spice level was on point - asked for level 3 and it was just a hint of heat. Perfect. Sauce was surprisingly sweet but I added a dash of Maggi seasoning for umami and then it was great.
Pork Egg Roll (1) was clearly handmade, not one of those mass produced frozen jobs. Stuffed with pork & cabbage, seasoned really deliciously. Big Bertha Egg Roll (1) is indeed a big girl, and super tasty.
Will absolutely order again, excited to try different menu items! Love that we have a fun alternative to the typical Americanized Chinese spots. "
