"I'm a regular at the Mechanicsville Cracker Barrel, but I ordered this location for delivery today. I was skeptical because often quality and flavor relies on individual location, but I was not disappointed. The Lemon Pepper Grilled Rainbow Trout filets were spot on. Beautiful, properly seasoned, thick, and juicy. The pancakes were also thick, with the perfect fluffy texture and buttery taste. I actually prefer this location's mac and cheese, which surprised me. It was very creamy and had a consistent texture, which I liked. The hot cocoa was yummy and the perfect thing to sip on between bites. Everything had a generous portion size and came out amazing.
The only minor issues I encountered were the biscuits being more well done than I prefer (which isn't hard to do, I'm very picky about my biscuits) and the Silverware only came as 1 pack instead of the 2 I asked for.

"The pulled chicken was tender, not dry at all. Could have used more salt. The house barbecue sauce was very good - sweet & spicy with a kick on the end. Funeral potatoes for me are better than the scalloped potatoes I had last order. The butter beans were tender in a slightly savory broth - too much salt, though.
The food is first-rate quality so I will continue sampling their menu. "
