"Roots always has high quality avocados. The flavors and textures of the mayweather work so well together and the dressing has a delightful tang to it. Decent portions as well! I find that one salad can last me several meals. Kale is sometimes rough to eat in large quantities but this salad makes it possible. Good if you're looking to fibermaxx.
The sweet potato and beets are hardy, earthy, and sweet. Such nuance in flavor and texture. The goat cheese adds a delicious tang and creaminess. The grains are bland but you need something bland in this salad to let the other ingredients shine through. The chicken is just decent, sometimes a bit dry but it has good char flavor. All of the ingredients shine in that they taste natural and are not trying to be covered up by excess sugar, salt, or oils. I love this salad so much I once tried to make it at home and I would recommend just buying it at roots- it's a lot of work and the payoff isn't as good. "The restaurant did NOT pack my order with care or in a smart way. The "lid" they put ontop of the teas was not sealed all the way around. Then they put it into a bag that was not reinforced at the bottom. Then the put my spring rolls next to the drinks, but because those containers were not that tall, the drinks had nothing next to them to help them stand up correctly in transportation. (Might need to look into investing in drink carriers for togo orders) So one of my teas got everywhere, as seen in the photos.
However the Coffee Milk Tea is VERY good, well the little that was left in my cup was good. The Taro Milk tea is good. Milk teas are on the pricer side imo. And lastly the spring rolls are very good, a little prices for just 2. What saves it is that it comes with sweet and sour sauce to dip the rolls in."

Half of the container was tripe. and I know the recipe was authentic because on top in the center is an entire hoof and ankle joint. I love cartilagenous meats, and this was perfect. The tripe was tender and not chewy, and each veggie tasted like it was added to the pot at the perfect time to bring out its best flavor. The broth was rich and savory, warm but not spicy hot.
