"This was my second visit to this Pepe’s location. I’ve been a loyal customer of the Alhambra location for over 45 years. However, this was my first time trying their green chile chicken enchiladas, which are just as flavorful. I highly recommend giving them a try. They have an incredible flavor, is the taste of the chicken is the best part. Most places use boiled chicken, which is not bad, but it doesn’t compare to their chicken. The pache was wrapped in foil, a plastic bag, and then a paper bag to keep everything clean. It had a good portion of chicken inside, had a good amount of spice with the whole pepper in it. But I wish it had more flavor overall. I enjoyed it with a squirt of lime along with the sauce that came with the tacos.
The tacos had a good flavor, but the tortillas were hard and chewy rather than crunchy. They're more like taquitos and they arrived with a red sauce, slivered onions, and parsley to go with it. While they were tasty, they reminded me more of the frozen kind found in stores. I don't think I would purchase again considering the price, but I did enjoy eating it!
