"I'm have a huge nostalgia for croquettes and curry, the combination is just perfect! I do wish you were given more than 1 croquette...
The croquette is seasoned very well and the bits of corn add a subtle sweetness that I love! The portion of rice, curry, and cabbage is pretty generous and I'd say it’s worth the price.
The curry sauce is good, the umami is there, but there's a slight sour/tart(?) taste that I don't quite care for. However, paired with the croquette and cabbage is just soooo delicious!
Now, if Curry Hyuga could just fix their packaging for takeout, I'd definitely be a happier camper. Their packaging ALWAYS leaks and more than 3 times I've had to make a complaint for partial refunds. One time, it leaked ALL of the curry sauce and you can't have curry rice without curry!

"The combo tempura is definitely a PASS. It's pretty common to have at least two pieces of shrimp (the photo even shows two), but this came with one tiny, poorly fried shrimp. Even the veggies were scarce; seems like they went heavy on the fried onions to fill it out.
I ordered the two item bento (salmon teriyaki and california roll). The salmon was squishy and not cooked well all the way through. The sushi rice on the california roll was hard and bland, and the imitation crab seemed like it was also going bad. It had a grainy texture and a fishier taste than normal quality imitation crab from other restaurants. We had one bite and had to toss it. The bento was also missing miso soups for both orders.
I'd expect this from a fast take-out sushi joint, but for these prices, it's a hard "no" from me."

"Yakiniku Ju is super delicious and comforting. The portion is a little small for the price, but the dish itself is so good that I still really enjoy it. The food packaging really need to be improved too.
That said, Yayoi’s pricing is already on the high side, and I was surprised to see that the restaurant menu lists this dish at $26.50 while the DoorDash delivery price is $28.50. Since customers are already paying delivery and service fees through DoorDash, the additional markup on the food makes delivery feel like we’re being charged twice.

I was curious as to what alfred takoyaki was, and then it occurred to me it that possibly alfred was short for alfredo... but anyway, I actually preferred the creamy alfred sauce over the soy garlic. Both were delicious though! I liked the size of the takoyaki balls since even though there are five (per flavor) compared to the usual six other places usually sell at a time, they are slightly bigger. I really liked the texture, soft and chewy! It took about 20 mins to get to me at my place but it was still warm and ready to eat. 10/10!"

Their takeout/DoorDash prices are pretty steep, but if we want authentic Japanese food, it's our go-to. "So the taste of the Deep Fried Gyoza was good, they steam in the box a bit but the edges are crunchy. The Spicy Garlic Beef Pepper Rice spice rating for someone who likes heat it's a medium level, but if you are sensitive it will be hot. My low rating is because the beef was inedible. It was chewy and stringy and grainy in texture. It was cut against the grain which made it harder to eat and there were like stringy tendons or whatever all throughout it. The portion was big but I gagged on it and spit it out. I wouldn't order beef again. The rice itself tasted good. It has the smoky char taste from how it's cooked. The Deep Fried Gyoza were definitely freshly fried upon order and in good oil not old. The Dr Pepper was good. Larger than I expected."

The price to portion ratio does not math.
The Grilled Whole Squid / ヤリイカ姿焼き タレ/塩 was $16, I was expecting what you find in most other restaurants that sell grilled this dish: a decently sized grilled whole squid. What I got was the squid that I cut up for customers to use for rockcod bait on the boat that I work on ... and those go for $8 for a 1lb BOX. Pathetically small, honestly feels like a scam.
Similarly, the skewers ranged from $9 to $14.50 for 2pc. They are super tiny. Another skewer place I ordered from the other day sold 3pc skewers for half the price and double the portion. To add insult to injury, I didn't even get anything fancy: chicken liver (another thing that I use for bait while fishing and is CHEAP), chicken thigh, beef tongue (probably the "fanciest").
Will not be ordering from here again. "
