The breadsticks (like $7 or something) came with only 2 and also tasted like a donut. The menu states grilled shrimp but I was messaged saying grilled wasn't available, so I chose fried in its place. Fried shrimp for shrimp scampi is...an anomaly... and on TOP of it all, the meal came about an hour later than it was supposed to, and it wasn't due to the delivery driver. "First time trying Effie's Grill. The Burger was amazing and cooked to order. I can't remember if there was cheese on it or not (there's an option to have no cheese, but I don't think it comes with cheese). If I didn't notice cheese or the lack thereof, that means it really was a great burger.
The Loaded Rice is classified as an appetizer, but as a meal, it actually works on its own. In order to try both cheese sauces, I got half-and-half with beef. The rice wasn't "Mexican rice", which actually made it better as a dish. And the cheese sauces worked amazingly well with the white rice.
I also got the Yellow Cheese Dip. This is like homemade nacho dip with Velveeta. As a dip, it was good, though I plan to pour it over other rice based on the Loaded Rice meal. Since they sent me salsa as well, I presume that and the chips came with the dip. The salsa was fine.
I'm going to be trying other stuff in future."
