"Worst meal I’ve had in a long time. I decided to try Somali cuisine for the first time with my Somali friend and at first I was excited because when the food arrived it actually smelled really good. Unfortunately the experience went downhill very quickly. The main platter came with a noticeably smaller portion than what my friend told me is normally served and while I tried to overlook that what really disappointed me was the lack of meat. There were only three or four small pieces of meat in an entire platter that was otherwise mostly plain white rice. It did not stop there because I had also ordered a quesadilla and fries. The fries looked extremely old and tasted rotten as if they had been sitting out for a long time. The quesadilla was somehow even worse. It tasted stale and the cheese appeared to be molding which genuinely made me question how long it had been sitting before being served. I do not usually leave negative reviews and I understand that family owned businesses can have off days but this experience was unacceptable. Between the tiny portions the lack of meat the old fries and what seemed to be spoiled cheese this was one of the worst meals I have had in a very long time and I left extremely disappointed."

"This was our first order, and it blew us away with its quality ingredients and delicious recipes. Everything had a "made from scratch" vibe to it which we were surprised by. The Tavern Seeded Pretzel was buttered to perfection, soft and yummy. The seasonings and seeds were not overwhelming - really complemented the buttery pretzels. The Banana Spice Cake was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Impossibly moist. The salted caramel and vanilla bean whipped cream were also a welcome complement to the cake. The Chicken Brie Burger was delicious and juicy, and I loved the arugula blend and onion jam in the sandwich too. The bacon is the thick cut kind (good quality ingredients, y'all). The waffle fries and House Made Cheese Curds were excellent as well. Love the seasoned sour cream. My husband also enjoyed his Tavern Fish Sandwich and Key Key Lime Pie. We'll be back. Thank you so much, The Tavern Grill!!"
"The season sour cream was probably the best I've ever had. The Reuben was good. I like that it on white bread. My only compliant was the portion size of the brownie was tiny. And it was supposed to be split between three people. I would order this again, but not though brownie. The freshness of the Reuben was amazing."
