And I was pleased by the pretty pink bakery box. However... The vanilla cupcake was kind of sad altogether and was strangely cold, as though thawed from frozen? The cupcakes in general were all quite small and the cake was dwarfed by icing it couldn't hold up. "Lamb chops are always perfectly cooked. I like mine rare, my husband likes his medium and they are always just right (that is an art--especially with travel time involved!). The green beans are delicious, and their pita bread is not to be beat (my favorite thing to do is to use the tzatziki sauce as a dip for the bread...the tzatziki is one of the best we've ever had).
I also have great faith in the overall cleanliness of this restaurant. Unlike other restaurants, Paps Gyros always looks clean and the wait staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. So, even when we get carry-out, I never worry about who is preparing the food or how it's prepared.
I may sound over-enthusiastic, but everything I've said is true. Portions are good: not too much, but not skimpy (although, for the extra dollar, a little more steamed broccoli would be appreciated).
My personal favorite end-of-meal treats are their rice pudding or baklava. I rarely get dessert, but Papa Gyros is worth every calorie.
Our only problem with this restaurant is not ordering again every other day...."

"The Reuben is good! The rye bread can get a bit crunchy but it makes it more tasty. The Gyro is decent. For the price you only get the sandwich which makes it not such a great value. Neither one mentioned is a $15+ stand alone sandwich. You have to pay quite a bi extra for any side. The Gyro did not seem as fresh as the Reuben. I could not finish the Gyro because of this. The portions are definitely NOT worth the price in ordering through DD. I probably will not be ordering here again through DD. They really need to advertise their sandwiches are the sandwich only with absolutely no side. Also the prices shown during this review are not what I was charged."
