"Negril has been one of my favorite places to eat since I was a kid, and the food has been consistently amazing over the years! Everything is flavorful, delicious, and made with the kind of seasoning that keeps you coming back. I had the beef and spinach patties, rice, cabbage and peas, and a full pound of jerk chicken, and it was all so good. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the quality is consistently excellent. I love being able to return to a place I’ve enjoyed for so many years and know I’m going to get a delicious meal. If you love Jamaican food, Negril is absolutely worth a visit!"
"The Curried Chicken Dinner and Beef Patty are the best of the DMV area that I consistently order for lunch and dinner: generously portioned with fresh vegetables, chicken and spices, the chicken dish tastes excellent; the beef patty is also freshly baked with tasty filling. As always, I like to add extra curry gravy and ground scotch bonnet pepper to the main dish."

"The curry Medium Curry Chicken was sooooo good!! My picture doesnt do it justice but it was delicious and plentiful! I had already ate a lot before I took the pic! The Jerk Wings were some of the best I've ever had. U can taste the grilled flavor and plety of spice. Delicious. The extra jerk Extra Sauce 3.25oz was also delicious and well worth the extra 2.00. The Plantains were also good! Everthing was sooooo good!! Well worth the money! Thanks Jerk Pit! "
"Delicious goat with a solid spice. Rice and peas were moist and the steamed vegetables were tender. I enjoyed every bite and am glad I got the Large Curry Goat. Also enjoyed the Jamaican Sodas (cream soda). Look forward to the next order. Thank you Jerk Pit team!"

"The jerk red snapper was fresh, tasty and some of the best red snapper I've had. The portions of the meals are large whether you get the fish or chicken with the cabbage and rice &peas. It's a great price for the meal and I would definitely order it again."
"They are very consistent! The jerk chicken is so good! My Coco Bread was nice and soft today, which made everything even better! 10 out if 10 delicious!
It may take a little time because they keep a steady flow of customers. However, it's worth the wait in my opinion! Order earlier in the day if you want patties, they tend to run out. I would definitely order again."

"I order from here often and the food is consistently good. My favorite is their boneless curry chicken and a TOTC Pineapple Ginger. Its not too sweet like some other pineapple drinks that are in stores. I took a chance on the Curry Beef Rice & beans, cabbage, and I'm glad I did. The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender. The portions are large enough and I had enough gravy for my rice and peas. I am very pleased."

"I am shocked at the reviews. This is my go to place. Actually, the only carribean place I support in the DMV that actually have tender oxtails. The flavor is in every bite. Not to mention when I order cocoa bread or brown stew chicken, everything is fresh and taste good. They have been out of jerk wings lately when I go but they were tasty too. This place had me try curry goat and I been hooked every since. I live in SE so even when I order doordash, my plate looks good, smell good and taste good. These are my people I consider family now because I was giving up when I found out Negril by HU had closed."

"The curry goat.. I'm so disappointed. The flavor is NOT there. And they gave me a small portion in the side dish cup of the tray!! At least they're tender. "This was delish. The Half Jerk Chicken is enough to feed two people. We got the cabbage and macaroni cheese, which is macaroni pie, there's a difference but it was soo good. The chicken has a good jerk kick to it, so you may need a drink for the heat but the cabbage has a hint of sweetness which is unique but paired very well. I would definitely order again. "
"As a born and bred island girl, I value authenticity in Caribbean restaurants. This blew my mind. I had the Jerk shrimp with noodles and it was appropriately seasoned with just enough heat. The noodles were firm and moist. Also the plantain topping was three FULL plantains! What?!! I think this might be my favorite new restaurant. "

"So the roti appeared to have had no meat. I had two very small pieces of meat in my roti. The rest was broken up as though it was the bottom of the pan and they were trying to get meat to put into the roti. It was mainly potatoes in Channa. I was a little disappointed because I've eaten there before several times and when I go in you know you can see the chunks of meat that they give you so I'm not sure why they gave me the scrapers this time maybe because I DoorDash, but I don't think I will use them for DoorDash anymore because the portion was bad"

"Way too much plantains and barely any meat. I ordered the 2 meat Chicken Bandera and Goat Bandera: chicken and goat. They offered 1 chicken thigh and 2 very small pieces of meat. But I was charged for extra meat. If I hadn't of paid extra they would have given me one piece of chicken. . So they put extra plantains in my plantain so I would think it's chicken.

"The Oxtail Bowl was pure yumminess & just the right amount for a late lunch! It was just the right amount of spicy as well. "Food was delicious as usual! 17. Buss Up Skin was flaky and light, 18. Dhal Puri was flavorful and the 1. Doubles were great. "
"My wife is Trini and so my in-laws are first generation Trinidadian immigrants who make some of the best Trini dishes I've ever had. So you can get imagine my excitement to learn that a restaurant serving authentic Trini food had returned to the area. My wife used to eat here when it was the original Teddy's and was also excited to have some good old home food. But I was extremely disappointed when I opened the container to see very small portions of oxtails and rice. The meat was tough and the sauce was very oily. Next I tried the doubles. The Chana had a very tasty sauce however they were a bit undercooked and hard. Not at all tender or creamy as I had expected. The curry chicken was lost in the sauce . Finally I got to the main event, the shark & 2. Fried Bake and Shark. It was dry and resembled minced shark not the filet that I was hoping to find. And lastly the bake itself was too hard and chewy. Overall I have to give it a 3 out of 5 forks, a hard pass but I would give Teddy's a second chance. Maybe it was just a one off and not typical of their quality. But the prices were very expensive considering the portion sizes. The meat dishes need more meat to be a decent value. Ultimately good flavors but mediocre presentation and preparation.
Ps. I didn't even get my 1. Sorrel. Bummer."

"Ever dish is appetizing . I only finished part of the dish of curry chicken . I'm a little let down because I was expecting the curry chicken to have a lot more meat in the food container that it was in but the flavor of the chicken juices is so wonderful that I can already tell I'll be returning soon . However I'm sure the oxtails and goat plate will be liked and taste excellent too . I have no serious about the Caribbean meal it's amazing and all of my drinks came with the order . The cream soda in particular is so good that it may really make me get five of those and I was really pleased with every dish that was prepared and served so I'll be ordering five more of those cream soda without adding a dinner I'm going to be reheating some more meals later because I'm so full right now . Tropicana and the Caribbean grill will be my two favorite restaurants . I'll place separate orders for two meals and beverages from each of them so please don't go out of business I will always be there to support your company "
"Egusi soup with Assorted Meat it was very bland, it taste like cheddar cheese. It didn't have any spice. The meat was very chewy. I also got the Oxtail (Large) the oxtail flavor was good but the size of the oxtail was very small (chopped up meat with bones) with a big portion of rice, very small amount of cabbage. For the amount I spent I wouldn't order here again. I am very unpleased. "

"This is my second time ordering. I will say my first experience was way better in terms of texture. The rice in this bowl was gummy, broccoli was overcooked as well. The portion is definitely a good size! So I'm hopeful going forward that there's more consistency because the concept is so bomb and fresh!"

"The food was SOOOOO good! 😩🔥 I’m so happy there’s finally a Haitian spot in town with food that actually tastes like home. Usually, I feel like I have to go all the way to New York or Miami to get good, authentic Haitian food, but not anymore! 😂🙌🏾 The griot was delicious, the legume was flavorful, and the pikliz had the perfect kick. Everything tasted fresh, seasoned, and like a real home-cooked meal. I’m definitely happy I found this spot and will absolutely be ordering again. 10/10! 🇭🇹🔥🤤"
"Listen,
I don't know who was in the kitchen today - but I can assure you, they came to COOK. That Griot (Fried Pork) was so RIGHT: hard outside with a tender center. I usually dont eat the fat on the griot...I definitely ate the fat today 😅, it was too good to pass up.The black rice, I mean black was so dee the rice looked shiny the green peas was Chef's kiss. Thank you for a wonderful, home-cooked meal 🙏🏿"
