"The oxtail is nice and tender however I do understand the price went up but to pay the medium price and get 5 oxtail was very surprising but it was still good and fresh...
The jerk chicken didn't stand a chance it was extremely tasty as well as the cabbage....
will we order from here again....Duhhhhhhhh of course we will "
"The Chicken Rasta Pasta and Plain Rasta Pasta were great but the sides are very small and over priced. They charged $7.80 for the sautéed spinach and only gave one spoonful (the size of a cooking spoon). When I called they confirmed that one spoonful is the amount that they give. It's not even a big enough portion for one person. The Steamed Cabbage with Carrots has about two spoonfuls and they charge $6.60."

"The best Jamaican spot I've been to and they only charge 10$ for a large Rasta pasta unlike every other place I've even to which is around 20. Lunchtime menu has meals from 6-8$ and the portion sizes for EVERYTHING is large and the quality is amazing. 10/10"
"Disappointed it's more bones than anything.. it's also VERY sweet.. I absolutely love brown stew chicken & it definitely has potential but the flavor is lacking. Also the rice & peas is VERY bland , plantains are very hard & there's only 2 small pieces. It looks like it's more cabbage than anything. Disappointing that this is a large. The best brown stew chicken I've ever had is from Awesome Sauce in Bpt. Won't order again"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I had an amazing experience! I ordered the vegan jerk sandwich with cassava fries, and everything was absolutely delicious. I also tried the vegan ackee and broad beans, and every bite was full of incredible flavor.
I had the opportunity to speak with the chef, and he was so friendly and welcoming. You can truly tell that a lot of care and passion go into preparing the food.
It’s hard to put into words just how good the food is it was simply amazing. Whether you’re vegan or just looking for a delicious meal, I highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be back!"

"Always reliable to have a great meal !!! Love the Roasted Pork (Pernil) Meal full of flavor very delicious!!!"
"I loved the roast pork meal(pernil) this is my second time ordering it. I'm from Charleston South Carolina gonna be here till next month. I'm planning on taking back two of large pork meal, pernil back to South Carolina, but the beef empanada was pathetic. It had very little beef very bad. I'm hoping when I re-order again I guess some kind of discount or refund. If not, I would just have to go elsewhere, but the roast pork meal is good."

"Large Oxtail dinner and small order of only Jerk chicken were both really delicious. They followed all special instructions/requests accurately down to the last detail. The portion size to price ratios were decent and appropriate as it relates to the meat. For example, they didn't overfill the oxtail dinner container with the rice & peas and cabbage to take up more room resulting in less meat being added. The meat portion was what I would expect (but not always so), surprisingly adequate and what it should be. I wish I had gotten my order of Tamarind balls but everything else was on point."

"the cabbage was bland. I was excited because I usually have great experience here but not today. I paid 45$ for one plate and Banana Pudding . there was next to none at all Mac and cheese and candy yams. for 45$ I thought it would be enough for 2 people to fill up and it really wasn't. not sure if someone new packed my food but I ended up still cooking because it was that small a portion"

"The food is very good overall for take out. The chicken although very flavorful is a bit too dry. Other than that it's good. Also important to say that the potato salad comes with apples; not everyone likes that so it would be helpful to have it in the description. Coxinha and pastel are great! Rice and beans delicious."
"The box is cheap and the food gets all messy inside of it. Also, the portion is completely unbalanced: a ton of rice and a little bit of beans. Every single Brazilian knows the ratio of beans and rice is 50/50. I wonder if the owners of this restaurant are really Brazilians."

"Great flavor, and the portion is perfect and all my gravy was in my container lol i will be ordering again."
"Had high expectations. Where do I start? Let's start with the Brown Stew Chicken it wasn't a traditional Jamaican brown stew chicken it actually to me tasted like barbecue chicken but I don't know if they put barbecue sauce in this in the sauce or whatever I asked for extra gravy, they complied and I definitely got extra gravy, but it was. It felt like it tasted like barbecue sauce next the beef Jamaican Patties- Mild Beef which were dry and hard in the outside, but the filling tasted good and it was you know nice no problems with the cocoa bread but then again it's cocoa bread so it's not gonna be no problems with the cocoa bread . Overall, I would give this place another try and maybe try some curry or maybe the jerk chicken or something."

"We have ordered from here several times and everything we've tried has been delicious. When ordering the Tacos Gringos - the "Crispy" tacos, we always ask for the fillings to be sent separately. They always accommodate and then we can crisp up the shells, and it's never soggy. I particularly like the Chancho Burrito, the meat is very flavorful. "
"Super disappointed. I ordered a burrito, a side of rice and beans, and an elote. The burrito is huge and will definitely carry me through a second and probably even third meal, and the elote was at least buttery, soft, and comforting. Unfortunately, that’s where the excitement ended.
The rice was cooked well, but the only thing giving “authentic Latin yellow rice” was the color. No seasoning, no depth, no warmth. Just bland. The beans tasted like they were poured straight from a can with little done to elevate them. And the burrito? More of the same flavorless rice and beans wrapped around a dry, underseasoned chicken breast and rolled into a flour tortilla the size of my forearm.
At this point, I almost want to open the whole thing up and doctor it myself with salt, pepper, pico de gallo, lime, maybe even some hot sauce just to make it enjoyable. I’m honestly shocked there wasn’t even salsa or sour cream included, because it desperately needs something to bring moisture and flavor to the dish.
For the price, I genuinely feel like I could have made something far more flavorful at home for a third of the cost. If you’re looking for bold, authentic Latin flavors, this probably is not the spot. Keep looking."

"The chopped BBQ mac and cheese at this spot is a straight-up comfort food masterpiece. The smoky, tender BBQ blends perfectly with the creamy, cheesy macaroni, creating a rich and flavorful bite every time. The yams are buttery, sweet, and caramelized just right, adding the perfect balance to the savory mac. "First time ordering from this location. I was extremely impressed by first the customer service.Thank you for calling to let me know what was out and other great sides. The 4 Pieces Whiting Meal 2 Sides and Baked Chicken was the best I have had in awhile brings you back to real homecooking! Everything was delicious and highly recommended for others to experience. Excellent dasher as well, no complaints! "
"The 8 Pieces Shrimp Meal 2 Sides had big beautiful fried shrimps, tasted delicious, but were a bit soggy rather than crispy - expected with delivery so I don't blame them for that (although if they puncture small holes in their container tops, it would lessen the soggy factor). The yams were also so good, great texture slightly firm but soft, not mush or overly sweet goo like most - would def get shrimp and yams again! The Mac and cheese I did not like, something about it tasted off. The Banana pudding was also disappointing especially considering the price. The flavor wasn't bad, but the texture is so thick and sticky, almost like a taffy. I just couldn't eat it, waste of $10. But like I said the shrimp and yams were amazing, I just wouldn't get the Mac or banana pudding ever again personally"

"The Chorizo Casero con Arepa / Homemade Chorizo with Arepa turned out to be very good. Turns out the mild-tasting arepa is a great vehicle for juicy, flavorsome slices of chorizo! I will definitely order the Pandebono and Buñelo again. Everything went great with a cup of coffee for Sunday breakfast!"

"Super yummy lunch! French onion soup was super rich and tasty! Burger was big and juicy."
"Ordered last night on New Years Eve and unfortunately the experience was awful, no exaggeration. We spent $103 on the following:
Loaded Nachos with chili 19.99
We received 3 tons of tortillas with very little cheese burnt on and toppings in seperate timsto build ourselves. Not a horrible idea for the chili which was seperate and in a quart container, but the container of other toppings was unnecessary and awful. It was jalapeño, onions, tomato, and lettuce?? Jalapeños were bottled not fresh, but worse was half a container of lettuce, who puts romane lettuce on nachos?! And the container was 60% lettuce, very little onion, jalapeño, and tomatos. They gave a side of what I can only describe as tomato paste and salsa. I didn’t take a photo of one container of toppings before I had to put the nachos together myself (we were hungry and I added more cheese) but did include a pic of lettuce we didn’t use which was more than half the container.
Fried Calamari with Gorgonzola and peppers $19.99 -- wouldve been ok but they put the Gorgonzolain a container inside the container and it was liquid when we got it since it was so hot! Ive never seen gorgonzola completely melted! Tried to show this in photo. There were also pieces of french fries in our calamari!! This means they use the same oil to fry both!! Thats dirty and its why This means they use the same oil to fry both!! Thats dirty and its why the Fried Calamari tastes like fries.
Daily Special Braised Short Rib Grilled Cheese
$18.99 -- this was my dinner and it was inedible!! It was so soggy that the bread on the bottom half was comletely shredded. I am not exaggerating! I couldn't eat it. I ended up scraping some meat off, and toasting my own bread and cheese with it today, didnt eat it last night. Also upsetting was I ordered onion rings for a $2 upcharge with $16.99 inedible brisket grilled cheese and they gave me fries. See my receipt attached. I gave fries to my son after crisping them in air fryer. I just noticed receipt says they ran out of onion rings but they didnt
Credit me!
Pepper Jack Burger
Burger my husband liked the burger but had to take the long hot peppers off because they were too hot, they were huge but that’s no fault of the restaurant, just too hot for him. The half pound burger was great size and he said at least they didn’t skimp on the bacon. Sadly, his sweet potato fries which cost $2 upcharge were so soggy he couldn’t eat them. I put them in the air fryer which helped a little but he barely ate any.
Kids Cheeseburger Sliders
Our son had kids sliders and French fries and didn’t complain. $9.99
I think this restaurant is new to delivery orders, the packaging is just bad. They should put fried foods on tin foil at least and you never put Gorgonzola inside a tin container with very hot fried food. We order out far too often and this was simply awful on so many levels. It’s bad enough food is soggy but the frying issues, the lack of ingredients, strange ingredients, misplacement of ingredients, not providing what we paid for, no utensils as requested, it was a horrible experience and it’s depressing we spent so much money on it. I do not recommend delivery from this restaurant, nor take out. "

"This is gen my fav spot in town. The bowls are fantastic and so worth the price. The galic cilantro or avocado sauce are amazing on everything and all the empanadas are very good. Chicken in particular is so delicious "
" I recently ordered empanadas and overall they tasted really good. The filling was flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly, and the crust had a nice texture.
However, I was disappointed with the size. They were much smaller than what was shown in the pictures, which made them feel a bit overpriced for what I received. The photos gave the impression of a more generous portion.
If the portion size matched the presentation, this would easily be a five-star experience. The quality is there — just hoping for more consistency between the photos and what’s actually delivered."

"Great dinner. We ordered takeout. Lobster tacos were delicious as well as the hot lobster roll, and kids meals. Cheese pizza me chicken tenders. I loved the sides they offered. The only negative comment is the portion on the fried shrimp was a little skimpy. Only 7 shrimp. For $25 I expected more. "
"What an excellent cod sandwich. I've eaten at the Lobster Shack for many years, even before they opened their restaurant in East Haven. The food is always delicious. I decided to eat in and have DD deliver my meal. I caught the happy hour special discount, which made it even better. My Fried Cod sandwich was huge and my baked potato was perfect. "Wrap was really good, it's a good size for the price and having the chipotle aioli with it is just perfect. I tried the tots instead of fries this time, but I think their fries are much better. The tots weren't that crispy, and could just be a lack of salt which they do give with the utensils but they taste okay, they were a bit oily though."
