"Compared to the other Curry Goats I've had along Grand Ave, this is about bottom tier for me. Other places load my container up with Curry Goat while this place loads up the specific section. The spices in this Curry Goat was also underwhelming. Good price, but other places give you more value and flavour"

"Always great! The portions were generous, the food was flavorful, and everything was packed with care. The oxtails were tender and well-seasoned, the rice was flavorful without being overwhelming, and the chicken was crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. Definitely a hearty, satisfying meal with plenty of food for the price. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. I’d definitely order again!"

"I was honestly surprised by the portion size when my order arrived. For a medium oxtail, I expected a more generous serving. I received two larger pieces of oxtail along with two much smaller pieces that were mostly bone. The oxtail itself was flavorful and tender, and the rice was good, but there wasn’t enough gravy to go with all of the rice. Overall, the food tasted great, but the portion size didn’t match my expectations, especially for the price. I hope they consider being more generous with both the oxtail and the gravy."
"We are a Caribbean family and the jerk chicken was tasteless, The "mixed vegetables" was just a small container of very old stewed cabbage. Even the plantains were pretty tasteless. We had leftovers but we threw them out."

"The Fried Shrimp dinner was very good. The shrimp were fresh and large and cooked to perfection. I asked fo stew chicken gravy on my rice and peas. It was good. I was supposed to get Cole slaw with it but did not get it. I informed DD and they gave me a small credit to use for next time. The side of fried plantain was sweet and just right. The portions were enough for leftovers the next day."

First time ordering from this establishment and definitely won't be my last. I haven't had Jamaican food in a while and had a craving but I didn't know where to order from. Very impressed and highly satisfied. I also ordered the Jerk Chicken Patty and it did not disappoint. Mac and Cheese is baked to perfection. Meal portions are large enough to last for lunch and dinner. So glad I got my money's worth. "
"Ordered 2 oxtail meals (one with rice and peas and the other with white rice). THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! I was born and raised in JA and I was hesitant to buy JA food here on long island. "Having lived near the mile for 7 years, I've been on a quest for truly authentic jerk chicken. As someone who grew up in Queens, I know good Jerk, and this spot is the only one that's lived up to the hype. Believe me, I've tried them all! The flavor is incredible, perfectly capturing that classic jerk taste.
My only hesitation is the price. I recently paid close to $30 for a meal that felt more like an $18 value. While the taste is amazing, that price point might make me think twice about ordering again."
"Listen! Everything was so tasty that once I started eating it I couldn't put it down! I'm American and I Love good clean Caribbean food! The jerk chicken ; tasted clean and what I mean by that time was taken to prepare the chicken! As there are no veins ! Reminding me of my Caribbean girl friend who really made love to whatever she prepared! Thank you Jerk on the Water for recreating that experience for me ! It is an absolute must to dine here! As soon as my vision is restored I will be eating in house and not through Door dash ! In the mean time I will continue to order my meals from here. Even if it's a little more than cook unity or Nutre meal plans it's worth it! The coleslaw is banging and the Mac n cheese made for N appetizing meal ; chef, you put your foot in it!! I am ordering again! Do you make Irish moss? I'd love to experience some good fresh sea moss!"

"Great portion, great taste!!"
"I love oxtail and was excited to try theirs. My order came to a little over $40.00 and I felt though it was pricey, good oxtails is at times worth it. It was not tender, the gravy was overly sweet vs savory and overall taste was perhaps the worst oxtail that I have ever eaten. I also tried theirs shrimp Pattie...which was 6.75 that too was not very tasty. The rice and the vegetables were ok. They have a picture of rum cake but it says rock cake. I ordered a slice to see if it was actually rum cake or rock cake. Ps it was rock cake which is almost a cookie texture so there is an error on their website. I would not waste my money here unless it's for a regular spicy beef Pattie or bread. The authentic flavors that I know was definitely missing from both dishes. I want to say more but I don't want to be mean, just honest."

"The lamb Breezes Lamp Chop in Honey Mustard Sauce had absolutely no honey mustard sauce. I guess they must have forgotten it for the take out order. The mashed potatoes was also lacking in taste and it wasn't very creamy. It was very dissapointing considering the cost of the meal. "The jerk chicken was phenomenal. Although I order it quite often, this is the first time I've ordered it and it has been less salty, which was PERFECT. it was fresh portion was just enough and the taste was on point."
"The packaging is terrible for the amount of money I'm spending on the food.
ALL of the oil spilled out of the container into the bag. It was very messy.
The boiled dumplings are grainy, they don't take great. Stick to the boiled provision and/or Fried Dumpling
Also there was more ackee than saltfish. I wasn't pleased at all.
The Cornmeal Porridge isn't bad. "

"I just want to say that I have a cold and I just know that chicken noodle soup is going to make me better. It was so good with some pepper sauce thrown in to clear my sinuses. The cassava and thickness of the soup was so full of flavor. I don't usually like bones but the depth of it from the chicken was delicious. It reminded me of childhood. I would order it again and I know my mom would enjoy it, too. I got a large and finished it all by myself so next time."
"Food was very delicious and fresh! I ordered the ribs and they were incredibly tender and full of flavor. I also ordered chicken fried rice and it was just as tasty and fresh . Definitely a great spot if you're craving well-prepared, flavorful food the portions can feed 2"

"The food was amazing. Well priced and delicious. Very happy. Customer for Life. "
"The grio and rice was flavorful. The grio was dry, which was not pleasant but the seasoning was good. The fried green plantains were soggy. Flavorful but soggy due to being in a container with the rest of the food. That's easily fixed by putting them in a separate container that doesn't hold much condensation. The rice was the best part. The only thing I can't complain about. "

"The curry goat is nice and tender . Curry is super delicious. They give a lot of rice and not enough gravy . "
"Oxtail and Brown stew Chicken were among some of the best I ever had, tender and perfectly seasoned. Food also came steaming hot and generously portioned. I didn't get to try the beef patty because they ran out, but that lets me know their patties probably slap too. Absolutely outstanding."

"This is the best Rasta Pasta I have had!! The Cinnamon roll was really good too-moist and not too sweet. Jerk platter was on point. Definitely ordering again from this spot. "
"The Vegan Oxtail Bowl tasted so authentic. The flavor and texture was on point. The Fried Chick'n Sandwich (Vegan) was so perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy on this inside. "Chicken sandwich came with very few fries to the point that it was funny, but not really because this food is too expensive for them to be skimping on fries of all things. I poured the fries out to demonstrate. The sandwich was amazing, as always.

"This....was the best thing I have ever eaten. It was warm perfect. Flavorful. Seasoned well. I felt the love and care in the meal. 10/10 will be ordering again. It was fresh. The sausage was juicy. The eggs were perfect. The oatmeal? So sweet and perfect .....I could go on and on"
"Have been ordering here awhile and the consistency is atrocious, it tastes different every time and mostly bland. The rice is undercooked and hard , the amount of food for the price is a rip off when there are other better restaurants for the same
