"Made an order Christmas evening for a quick family dinner before heading out to the movies. The cold cut banh mi for the price was good. But there was hardly any meat let alone the main ingredient. Mayo and pate . I kid you not when I open up the banh mi I was so confused on what kind of banh mi it was. No mayo, barely any pate, the two cold cuts meat were so thinly slice. I was better off going to Wawa for a hoagie.
Ordered the pho with the flank and meatballs. Ended up with shank instead. Kids would not eat the shank as they wanted meatballs.

"This place is a flavor bomb! The Drunken Noodles were the sticky with the perfect chew. The Ginger Chicken was nice. Simple vegetables in a ginger broth with hints of lemongrass and coriander. The Edamame Gyoza was spot on too. The Chive Dumpling was my favorite. Decadent and crisp shell and a chewy center, filled with stewed greens that carry the love of 10 generations. Well done. "

"I’ve been coming to Penang for years and used to be a frequent customer for both dine-in and takeout. It was always one of my favorite local restaurants, which makes it especially disappointing to say that my last two experiences (including today’s) have convinced me that the quality of both the food and service has declined significantly. Whether it’s due to new ownership, poor management, or a lack of staff training, something has clearly changed.
I placed a takeout order for 9 items and was quoted an estimated pickup time of 1 hour. That’s an unusually long wait, especially on a Tuesday at 4pm when the restaurant was nearly empty. When I arrived, there were only three occupied tables, making the wait even harder to understand.
The pickup experience was equally disappointing. A server pointed me toward the front counter, but no one was there. I stood waiting for nearly 5 minutes before someone finally came over, even though my food had already been packed and was sitting behind the counter.
The packaging showed a complete lack of care. While the individual containers were fine, the entire order was crammed into a single brown paper bag filled to the top, with containers sticking up near the handles. There was no way the bag could be carried safely without risking it tearing. I politely asked if they could split the order into two bags. Instead of helping, the employee gave me a dirty look, handed me an empty second bag after I had already paid, and told me to repack it myself. That should never be the customer’s responsibility. It should have been packaged properly from the start.
Unfortunately, the food has declined as well. The roti canai, which used to be one of my favorites, was a huge disappointment. The roti itself was rubbery, and the curry dipping sauce was so watered down that it lacked the rich flavor it was once known for. Other dishes also seemed noticeably smaller while prices have continued to increase. I understand inflation affects restaurants, but this felt more like cutting corners than simply adjusting prices.
What disappoints me most is that Penang used to stand out for both its food and hospitality. Now the customer service feels indifferent, the attention to detail is gone, and the food no longer justifies the prices.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but after two consistently poor experiences, I can no longer recommend this restaurant. It’s unfortunate to see a place that was once so reliable decline to this extent."

"I ordered from here becuse I had been craving Tom Yum Soup and it was exactly what I wanted, tangy and full of chicken and vegetables. I love sour and tangy foods, s this was by far the best TomYum soup I have ever had. The mango Sticky Rice with Mango and the mango Bubble Tea were also delicious. The Crab Rangoon were also amazing because they were filled with so much cream cheese filling that it perfectly balanced out sweetess of the dipping sauce. The Drunken Noodles were really flavorful and they give you a good portion for the price. I will definitely return soon! "

"I loved everything!!! Great way to start a Friday night! We had the Thai Dumplings, Chicken Satay and the Spring Roll for apps they were still warm and the spring rolls were still crispy. Delish! "So the pets I was decent portion. I got it with shrimp. There were a good amount of shrimp in it. But I'm looking at the overall recipe and glaringly missing is the bean sprouts and the lime. I thought these were staples of which come with a pad Thai meal. Thai coffee was good and you can select it customized with less ice. That way you get more, which worked out. Although missing those staples above mention, ingredients were market fresh. I would probably give it another order. I guess just have to come prepared with my own sprouts and lime next time."

The Thai Tom Yum Stir-fry is delicious, has lots of veggies, always cooked to perfection. The Roast Pork Banh Mi is sooo good. Right now I'm really enjoying their Combination Vermicelli Noodle Salad (Choice Protein & 2ct Spring Rolls) . I really like the Thai Iced Tea and Vietnamese Milk Coffee (Cà phê sữa) , some of the other beverages are a little sweet for me. Still great flavors tough.
