Having (cold) pulled or sliced chicken would've been so much better. The espresso martini was way too sweet---I would've cut it with some vodka if I'd had any. The rice tasted okay but I found that the chicken had a weird aftertaste and just tasted like it was too greasy. The crab Rangoons were not very good either but tasted alright with the duck sauce. The worst was the broccoli that was swimming in an overly spicy sauce. Also, broccoli from other Chinese restaurants I’ve been to has always been softer and tender, but this broccoli was too hard almost like it was not cooked properly. The little flavor it had was overpowered by the sauce. I ended up throwing away almost the entire thing and never finished the chicken. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant at all if you want a nice meal. For the quality of the food it is overpriced. "

This is one of the few foods my husband (fighting stage 4 cancer) enjoys and keeps down. We usually go in the store but it's been great being able to order. The bboys are soooo good. "I’ve eaten here before, and unfortunately, this visit was just as disappointing. I ordered the Memphis ribs, and they were dry, overcooked, and completely lacking in flavor. They didn’t have the smoky, tender, fall-off-the-bone quality you’d expect from good barbecue.
The mashed potatoes were awful. They were thick, hard, and full of potato skins, with an unpleasant texture that tasted like they had been sitting around for a while. The macaroni and cheese had almost no cheese flavor at all—it was bland and forgettable. To make matters worse, the gravy tasted like collard greens had been mixed into it. If that’s intentional, it should be listed on the menu because it completely ruined the mashed potatoes.
As someone who knows Southern cooking, this is nowhere close to authentic Southern food. It lacks the seasoning, soul, and flavor that Southern barbecue is known for. It honestly tastes like it was made by people who don’t understand what real Southern comfort food is supposed to be.
The biggest disappointment is the price. I spent nearly $100, and the quality wasn’t even close to matching what they charge. The food was overpriced, bland, and simply not worth the money.
I won’t be going back, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Southern barbecue."
