"The food was outstanding! I haven't had jerk chicken this good since we visited Jamaica, with just the right amount of spice. The Spinach Patty - Vegetarian was hot out of the oven & very flavorful. Unfortunately the Coco Bread was left out of the order, because I'm pretty sure it would've been delicious too. We will be repeat customers!"
"The half pound of oxtails was literally four oxtails the price. I just paid for four oxtails is ridiculous. The rice and cabbage medium does not look like a medium either and the cabbage is dry. How do you make dry cabbage?. And they literally sent me a vegetable soup. There is no meat in the soup at all."

"The Large Curried Goat is absolutely the best, delicous and great portion size for the price. Made 2 meals out of it. My hubby really enjoyed his Large Jerk Chicken. Our only gripe is that we wanted the Spanish rice that was in the picture but couldnt find it in the submenu. I'm beginning to suspect that "Spinach" rice may be a typo...going to try selecting that next time and see what we get. "

"Best Jamaican food in Middletown hands down. I have never had a bad order from them, ever. And I come here often. Today I got the Brown Stew Chicken and Coco Bread - I always get the coco bread and every time it's warm and soft and has a hint of sweetness that just hits especially when u eat it with the chicken. The Brown Stew Chicken was SO tender it fell right off the bone and the flavor was on point. I will continue to come here! Love this place"
"Have ordered from here before and seems like there are different cooks every time. This time, the Jerk Pork had an over powering taste of vinegar with every bite and dry. Barely gave the small order any cabbage but loaded the container full of rice and peas.
It's always a hit or miss with this place. Good thing the plantains were cooked properly."

"A little expensive but the portion size is filling (granted I got extra Mac & Cheese) and tastes great. "Rasta Pasta Chicken -Great flavor. Chicken was tender. The medium size was HUGE (feeds 2-3). The sauce was a little thin for my liking, but flavorful. would order again, but would like to try it with grilled shrimp!"
"Every time I visit Island Fish Head Jamaican Restaurant, it’s a wonderful experience. The owner is always friendly, communicates well, and has a healthy sense of humor that makes you feel welcome. I always order the chicken soup with extra potatoes, and it’s consistently fresh, hot, and delicious.
One time, I accidentally ordered a chicken patty instead of fried chicken through DoorDash. When I called to ask for extra potatoes, he realized the mix-up and told me not to worry. He sent out what I actually wanted without hesitation—and even added a beverage! That kind of kindness and attention to detail is rare these days. He definitely went above and beyond my expectations.
This is the kind of place you keep coming back to—not just for the food, but for the people. Highly recommend!"

"Five stars in everything. Great taste. Strong & Safe packaging. Specially for rice and beans avoiding spills . Generous satisfying portions . Roast Chicken melted in your mouth. Fried chicken was crispy. Fried foods are my preferred specially Rellenos and Alcapurrias ( one of the best around) but sometimes too much oil bleeds out . But regardless they are delicious. 5 stars!
I will buy them all over again "
"All good except the rellenos . I ordered 2 standard size. You gave me 4 very small ones . I/4 the size of a standard one . ( handful size) . I assume they were the platter sampler appetizer size. Not worth the $8 plus I paid for . But regardless they were delicious."

"Food here is always amazing! Combo 2 has always been my go-to. My only gripe is with the portion sizes: I just feel like you aren't getting as much as you pay for anymore. the size of the containers were much bigger in the past, but now I feel like I'm paying $16 for a $12 plate."
"I absolutely love the food here! The garlic steak is a top item for me and the garlic drumsticks come cut up and with no bone for take out! The passionfruit mousse and flan are unbelievable! Rice pudding is a little soupy, but best believe I loved it. I love this restaurant!!!"

"absolutely fantastic food made with love. The Jerk Pork Large had a great portion you can taste the quality of the ingredients. I look forward to trying more of there food items in the near future"
"I ordered Oxtails Large (1st time having it) w/ Gravy, Mash potatoes and a side of Mac and Cheese, Beef Patty, and Coco Bread . I also ordered Homemade - Audrey's Lemonade. The Oxtails were very good and tender. The Mac and cheese was dry and was more mac than cheese! The beef Pattie's didn't have much meat in them, Coco bread was very good and tasted very fresh. Audrey's Lemonade is definitely Minute Maid lemonade poured into bottles with that name on it. Overall I just feel ripped off."
