My tastes are not typical gringo, so I'm always looking for the best adventure in authenticity. The food here is deliciously fresh and light because it's well prepared. They made my salad as an unusual special order prepared with another meat. It was fixed to perfection. I love their chicken soup. Of all those in the area, theirs is definitely the tastiest. I'm someone who eats pico de gallo and salsa by the cupfuls and again theirs beats anybody else's in terms of freshness and flavor. The staff is very friendly and kind, quite willing to please. "Both the 1/2 cranberry pecan salad and 1/2 pot roast dip sandwich were made as menu described (as was the entire order) and both were very good. The bread on the sandwich does get wet from the sautéed onions but that can easily be changed with a few minutes in an air fryer or oven. Because of how it is made, it comes that way as a takeout or dine in sandwich so that's good to know if you don't like any of your bread wet. The Build Your Own Omelet was large and had the appropriate amount of ingredients selected. The Glazed Blueberry Bread is a very good seasonal option. My personal preference is crispy shredded hash browns and mine were definitively not and need more time cooking.There is no ability to ask for cooking preference on them when placing the order as the restaurant chooses NOT to accept any "special requests". Overall this order was great and it's nice to receive the food as ordered including all of the sides, condiments, salad dressing and dipping gravy on the side. For this order I got two Spaghetti & Meatballs
and one "Big” Chocolate Chip Cookie.
3/5 for the Spaghetti & Meatballs and here is why;
The spaghetti has been slightly overcooked, resulting in certain noodles having a firm and chewy texture along their edges. However, the core of the dish appears satisfactory, with appropriate warmth. Additionally, the meatballs weren't over seasoned and have a decent taste. Would I pay $15 for the same dish? For the portion and quality, no.
As for the "Big” Chocolate Chip Cookie
I was unfortunately disappointed. The picture shows a warm, chewy cookie that looks like it would melt on the touch. The one I received was definitely warm, so warm in fact that it was burnt. the edges are very rough. Seems like it was left in the oven for a little too long. If this dish was cooked a little less I would definitely consider buying it again- even with the $15 price it carries.
