I will say, however, that the shrimp n grits need a tad bit more flavor to it. It lacked seasoning. It was just simple to me. I've had the grit counter, bear e patch, early bird diner, metro diner, and a few other places shrimp n grits. each of them had a signature shrimp n grits that made me want to go back for more. This place didn't do that. I didn't taste anything special about it that made me want to run and tell people. Even the sausage in it lacked seasoning. Also, I only got 1 piece of shrimp, which was crazy for a shrimp n grits dish. They put more sausage pieces than shrimp. This was my first time trying this place, and I don't want to base their restaurant off of one order, so I'll order from them again in the future. "This has been my "go-to" spot for the last year. Typically, the food is phenomenal and beyond compare. Today, my food was terrible. My House Quesadilla Al Pastor was over packed with meat. I do not believe it had the typical cheese, onions and cilantro and it was phenomenally salty, as though the entree was fished out of the ocean. I regret not taking a picture but after sampling both halves I had to throw it in the trash. Don't bother requesting one of the delicious salsas they make in house, that request will be ignored. Steak taco was 2/5.
A few restaurants seem to serve cast off/unacceptable food to DoorDash customers. Unfortunately this place joins the list. Not sure if I will return bc I always take my food to-go. Will definitely return to the grocery store portion in person for quality ingredients. "
