"While in Williamsburg, we tried to get into Mellow Mushroom on Friday night, but there was over an hour wait. Unfortunately, because of the rain and lightning storm, the outdoor seating wasn’t available either.
My son had a friend with him who had never been to a Mellow Mushroom before. He’s an old soul who absolutely loves ’70s music, so I knew he would get a kick out of the fun, funky atmosphere and all the nostalgic décor. Unfortunately, the hostess wasn’t very welcoming. We thought we could at least let the kids walk into the restaurant for a minute to check out the vibe of Mellow Mushroom, but she didn’t seem very thrilled with the two 15-year-old boys looking around. I understand they were busy, but a little friendliness would have gone a long way.
Of course, we wanted him to have the ultimate Mellow Mushroom experience, so we decided to DoorDash it the next night! The food did not disappoint. The pizza was delicious—between the two boys, they ate an entire large pepperoni pizza! Of course, my go-to is always the Holy Shiitake, and it did not disappoint either.
Even though he didn’t get to experience Mellow Mushroom in person, he absolutely loved the pizza, so I guess we still managed to give him a little taste of the Mellow Mushroom experience!
If you’re visiting Colonial Williamsburg, Mellow Mushroom is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared for a wait during busy Friday nights and weekends—and hopefully you’ll get a more welcoming greeting than we did!"

"The only disappointment here was the fact that it took me so long to try it! The sesame Ball(6pc) and Crab Rangoon (6pc). apps are ridiculously good to start. The Stir Fried Noodle with chicken was great as well, a proper stir-fry that was not drowned in sauce creating perfect textures. The Volcano Roll is one of the better ones I have had in the hampton roads area! Finally the 醤油ラーメン / Shoyu Ramen Shoyu is top tier, perfect rich broth full of umami and deep flavor! Highly recommend! "

"Amazing! The Rainbow cake is moist and has a strong taste of white chocolate so if you don't like white chocolate I would not recommend. The Chocolate temptation cake has a fluffy texture and has a hint of hazelnut, there's a slight crunch it's almost like taking a bite of Ferrero chocolate. The Belgian chocolate mousse cake is so good!! It is a bit rich but drink with water and you'll be fine."
