"We've ordered from almost all of the local sushi/Japanese and mixed Asian menu restaurants, with inconsistent results. Not sure how we overlooked Hokkaido, but this was our first time and it was excellent. Most importantly, the sushi (tuna/avocado roll, salmon/cucumber roll, yellowtail/scallion roll) was very fresh and delicious. The dumpling soup was both very flavorful, and piping hot on arrival (almost unheard of for delivery), and both hot entrees - the salmon teriyaki and the shrimp hibachi - were excellent. The mixed Japanese fried noodles were packed with flavor and chock full of beef, chicken, and shrimp. And they followed our special instructions to a tee. They even put a small plate of mini cake pieces as a dessert. Hokkaido will be our new go-to for Japanese/sushi options - wish we found them two years ago!"
