I've been slowly becoming vegan and trying out the best recipes, etc. When I tell you that the Spicy Garlic with rice noodles, tofu, green beans, broccoli, red pepper flakes, crunchy onions, and red onions is FANTASTIC - I mean it with my entire soul. If you don't like tofu, this sauce completely covers any tofu taste. The rice noodles mask any tofu texture and everything is cooked perfectly and combined incredibly! "Papa Gyros gyro lamb meat is goated, better than euro gyro. The Cajun Gyro is GOATED and I order that one every time. Their French fries actually had a decent portion this time. I havent ordered PG in a while but they still dont salt their French fries which sucks badly, no napkins inthe bag ever. They should at least give a salt packet or offer it on delivery. But if I had a blue collar job I would need some napkins at least probably. "Lamb chops are always perfectly cooked. I like mine rare, my husband likes his medium and they are always just right (that is an art--especially with travel time involved!). The green beans are delicious, and their pita bread is not to be beat (my favorite thing to do is to use the tzatziki sauce as a dip for the bread...the tzatziki is one of the best we've ever had).
I also have great faith in the overall cleanliness of this restaurant. Unlike other restaurants, Paps Gyros always looks clean and the wait staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. So, even when we get carry-out, I never worry about who is preparing the food or how it's prepared.
I may sound over-enthusiastic, but everything I've said is true. Portions are good: not too much, but not skimpy (although, for the extra dollar, a little more steamed broccoli would be appreciated).
My personal favorite end-of-meal treats are their rice pudding or baklava. I rarely get dessert, but Papa Gyros is worth every calorie.
Our only problem with this restaurant is not ordering again every other day...."
