This odd combination of fussiness and mendacity, so uncharacteristic of Mexican cuisine, really sums up my experience here. I learned afterwards that Banda is actually a virtual brand of Denny's, which explains a few things. This is a metro area with good, authentic Mexican food options, and I recommend patronizing them instead."

I have always eaten at the restaurant in global market and never ordered it as delivery before. It showed up with the rice and beans being luke warm at best, unfortunately, but when I took it all out of the container to add the cheese and cilantro, I reheated those and everything was good again. "I have eaten here in person with no issues, but my order from DD was terrible.
I wanted to order the three taco combo, but found that unlike individual items nothing could be modified. The store also does not accept requests meaning I had to pay twice as much on individual tacos to accommodate a food allergy.
Even then one of the tacos was covered in sauce I could not eat so that was $7 down the drain.
The Pescado Taco was so salty I literally could not eat it, and the Ground Beef Taco had a weird plastic-like taste to it.
I was looking forward to the Mexican Hot Chocolate as it is one of my favorite drinks in the winter. I don't know what recipe was used here, but what I received was just dark chocolate foam that was lukewarm. For an 8oz cup the price is ridiculous.
Including my in person experience this place is just okay. Trendy? Sure. Fresh? Admittedly yes. Authentic? Absolutely not. For the cost I would rather eat at one of the other dozens of restaurants nearby."

I ordered the Breakfast Burrito | Burrito Mañanero today and it was great. Authentic, fresh and good quality. I appreciate the ratio of chorizo and eggs to the rice. Some places give you mostly rice . Even the tortilla seems homemade. Not that mass produced flour tortilla that make your burrito fall apart. They have the best tacos around as well. It's the only place to find authentic cuts of meat like Cabeza and Lengua that are so well cooked. I lived most my life in Southern California and it's been a dissapointing journey adjusting to the Mexican food in Minneapolis but La Vaquita has that home-cooked by abuelita sabor I've been missing. "I have been a customer of Pepito's since I was a baby. My parents had one of their first dates at the full restaurant when it still existed. Their Hot Salsa Pint and Spicy Pork Taco have been my go to for decades at this point.

"I'd been going to the Pepitos restaurant for 40 yrs and when they closed it was very sad, but to hear the deli was still open was great, and recently finding them on DoorDash I was elated, I used to get the Chicken Chimichanga at the restaurant or sometimes the Spicy Pork Lupitas, at the deli there is a smaller version of the restaurants old menu and no longer can I get the Chicken Chimichanga BUT can still get the Spicy Pork Lupitas so very happy... Portions are very generous, the flavor is top notch and my entire family loves them, there is a Pico or Mild or Hot salsa so something for everyone, I get the mild when I want a bit of heat but prefer equally the hot when I need more and it IS hot but so flavorful... thanks Pepitos deli for adding yourself to DoorDash, I'll be ordering from you frequently."

"I've ordered here for years but today the quality was so bad I wouldn't order the Cobb Salad or the Boneless Wings again. The wings are made of compressed nugget meat, the 23$ salad was romaine with a quarter of an avocado, a boiled egg and dry chicken on the side. I'm not a complainer but for 50+$ I'd go elsewhere. Sad."
