"My forays into Indian cuisine in the Twin Cities have been a bitter disappointment of late. So it was with trepidation that we placed an order with the rather basically-named 'Indian Kitchen Bar & Grill.' I needn't have worried. The food was far from basic. I had the Lamb Vegetable Curry which was a delicious concoction of tender cubes of meat and the aforementioned veggies, enrobed in a luscious sauce. I had my dish spiced at a 'medium' level, which is exactly what I got. I might even dare to go up a level, next time. And there will definitely be a next time. My dining companion had the Dal Makhani (he almost always gets a Dal dish) this one featuring black split peas instead of the yellow that he usually favors. He also raved over his dish --though he found the 'medium' spice level he ordered just slightly problematic. The accompanied Garlic Naan was an heavenly cloud and melted in our mouths. We look forward to many more future dinners from this far-from-basic kitchen. ****"

"The Kao Mun Guy was mediocre. There was only a little meat. It wasn't as tender or juicy, and was room temperature. The rice it came with was flavorful and quite yellow. I don't know if it's due to artificial coloring or boullion cubes. The chicken and cilantro broth was a bit salty and tasted like chicken boullion powder. I was hoping it would be made from scratch. The best thing I ate were the spring rolls. They were fresh and well wrapped. The only thing I wish that was different was the chicken used. The chicken was so chopped up that you couldn't eat feel or chew the texture. They used the same chopped chicken in the broth too. I prefer pull apart chicken for more texture and wholesomeness. Other than that, everything was well packaged and came with our names on them."

"Watch out, the Banana Lassi has some like of nuts (crushed pecans or walnuts) in it! For me personally, that really ruined it, I wish they would have mentioned it on their menu.
The lamb Rosh* was really really delicious! Super tender with a wonderful flavour. My only complaint is that there was a *lot* of fat on it. It also came with a potato instead of tomatoes, though I actually prefer that. Just another thing to be aware of.
Finally, the garlic Tandoori Afghan Naan was also really good, and an incredible value at $2.99! Don't skip it."
