The difference is purely in the complexity of flavor, along with great execution, portion, size, and price. Let me first speak about the flavor, because this is what makes Bombay Darbar so amazing. Every time I inhale an exhale, I receive a different spice in flavor note that combines beautifully with what is already to be expected from the flavors one would typically find at an Indian restaurant of the same dish. The caliber is without compare. I have to remind myself to slow down so I do not get too full too fast! The food always arrives packed with great care. For example, all the curries are wrapped in plastic shrink wrap in order to prevent village and leakage. Even the takeout big is a step beyond with heavy insulation. Food has always arrived, piping hot, and fresh. Portion sizes are larger than what I would usually find in the consistency and execution of each dish or phenomenal. The sauce is the right texture, thickness , and well seasoned. I can't say enough about this place! The restaurant has essentially destroyed all of my expectations for Indian food, whether it be takeout, delivery or dine in. Every other place is a complete disappointment and I will only ever order from Darbar ever again! "

Paired well with the salad but not the tuna and starch. I think that the least they could've done is given me some syrup. I did feel they could have both used a little more spice/heat since I requested medium, but the flavors were so good that the lack of spice was hardly noticed.
The E-Sarn sausage was incredible - and I love how they prepare it sliced and bite ready with the lettuce, onion, garlic, peppers.
The Tom Yum Pork Noodles were a first for me, and I absolutely loved it. The broth alone was packed with flavors.
While we enjoyed everything, the chive dumplings and som tom were prob the only two dishes that we weren't as excited about. They weren't terrible - but they weren't excellent either. The chive dumplings came oily and soggy - likely from travel. This is probably a dish best enjoyed at the restaurant. And the Som Tum while good, wasn't the best I've had. It was a bit warm - again probably from travel. But I felt some of the aromatic flavors and vibrancy was missing from the dish. I also requested medium heat on this, but it had no spice at all.
But again, neither of those dishes were "bad" - they just weren't the best out of what we ordered and likely due to delivery.
We will definitely be ordering here again :)"

"I have been wanting to try the Chicken Paella Bowl Meal from Bulla Gastrobar for some time and finally decided to give it a go today. It was a deliciously generous portion of paella rice cooked in sofrito and topped with pan-roasted herb-crusted chicken, artichokes, and mushrooms. While the dish was not as seasoned as I would ordinarily like, given I have high blood pressure following an accident, it was perfect for me because I could taste that all the ingredients were fresh and treated with care by the chef - especially the mushrooms, which were earthy and perfectly aromatic. If they add a bit more garlic and herbs to the rice, it would have been much tastier, but as it is, the restaurant already far exceeded expectations. This is solid value for the price and it makes me want to reorder and try the other menu items at Bulla Gastrobar!"
