"When I found out that a Blazin Chicken & Gyro location had opened in Jersey City, I was excited. I've been ordering from the North Bergen location for over a year now. The best Halal platters you can get in New Jersey. It still holds true today. I ordered the Chicken Platter, along with the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Milkshake, and a side of Sweet Corn Nuggets. The quality remains great. The flavors in every food item are unmatched. The platters, so much food for a good value. Please try this place if you're in the Jersey City area."
"The steak fajitas are the best things I've ever eaten. The onions rings were a little cold but I put them in the airfyer it was incredible. It came w four fajitas that are HUGE and stuffed w meat. I ate one of them lol. I would recommend this place again and again and again. My bf got a platter that he already is halfway through but the lamb in it was incredible and it was a MASSIVE portion of food. "Food is exceptional here! Always fresh, always flavorful and always delicious. My favorite on their menu is the fried turkey (well done) with brown rice and beans. The large comes with potato salad and if I order the small, I just add the potatoe salad as an extra. I order from this restaurant 2x a week and I tell everyone about them.
Do not hesitate to give them a try! Also, if you need certain accommodations with your order, just give them a call directly after; to submit your request. This is a "Chef's Kiss" restaurant."
"First time and the rice and beans were delicious and comforting. The fish was a little salty. Also, this particular order i only received a fish head. I thought i was getting a whole snapper. That should be stated. I do not like fish head, but i ate it. The pate, was a delight. Yummy, flaky. I just ordered 8 more this Am. Thank you"

"Best customer service ever. I order the pernil lunch special and it was delicious and there pan con queso. Ive also ordered the yaroa with sweet plantains with pernil and that was also good. That same day I ordered bolitas de yuca and another appetizer he store reached out to me and mentioned that they didnt have it for rn so they asked me if I wanted maduros instead and I said yes. When my order arrived they also left me a gift which was mini empanadas that were really good. I would give this a 10/10 for the food and the great service."
"Presentation was great, but the food was underwhelming. I was really looking forward to this meal and left disappointed. The chicken lacked flavor, and the yuca was drenched in vinegar, making it nearly inedible. For the price and expectation, I expected much better. Truly disappointing."

"I eat at a lot of places and this place is always my favorite. Everything is perfectly seasoned. They also add a citrusy sauce on top of the Fritay platters which makes it stand out from all of the other Haitian restaurants. The food has been consistently fresh for YEARS and the portions are good for the price. I will always order from here.
My only thing is on the DoorDash app it asks you if you want a side of fries or rice and I put a side of rice but I didn't receive it. Also, I asked for extra pikliz and didn't receive it and was charged for it. The food was good enough that I didn't even care but that's just something to consider if it's your first time ordering Haitian food. Everything was perfection overall."
"Good was amazing. The Pumpkin Soup really hit the spot on a rainy day! The Griot ak Diri Kole was cooked perfectly and the Legeme Militon ak Diri Nwa was super flavorful. The only down side was there were 2 massive bones in the Legeme Militon ak Diri Nwa. When paying so much it would be nice to have a full serving."

"I'm here from a different state , whenever I go to another state. I always make it my business to taste Haitian food. Magela's your tomtom gumbo is delicious, very flavorful, 10/10 . Next time I'm in town, I will definitely buy it again. The goat meat are way too big for me and I did not get any pikliz which makes it hard for me to eat the goat because it's not spicy. The same for the pig ears. The plantain is not fried to perfection. They are big and not crispy but tasty. If you had sent me one little pikliz my taste buds would have been happier. I will definitely recommend Magela's to my friends and families. By the way I saw that the pikliz was $2+ but I thought that was for extra, I don't know any Haitian restaurant that serves food without pikliz. I will make sure to add pikliz next time. The Akra was not too flavorful but eatable."
"Been craving Haitian food for a while, and I’m so glad I found this spot in East Orange, NJ. The food is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Portions are generous, more than enough and the prices are very reasonable. This was my second order, and it’s officially my go-to spot whenever I’m in town."

"The Medium Brown Stew & Sidesas delicious!!And the rice and peas wasnt dry but moist and fluffy. Definitely ordering again."
"First time trying this restaurant. I really wanted stew chicken. The chicken was tender and nice sized pieces for the price. The flavor of the chicken was ok but not wow this is really good. I the rice was ok as well, different than the regular riceand peas. The steamed cabbage was mushy, water, with huge pieces from the middle of the cabbage and no flavor at all; it tasted like nothing. Overall the meal was just ok. "

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars!
The griot was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and crispy on the outside while remaining tender and juicy on the inside! The fritay was flavorful, fresh, and full of that authentic Haitian taste. 🇭🇹❤️ Everything was so good, and you can tell it was made with love. Definitely a place I would recommend to anyone craving some good Haitian food! 😋🔥"
"So far I’ve ordered the bbq jerk chicken plate, the griot plate & today the oxtail signature plate. Each time the food was well portioned, good flavors and hit the spot. Although today I had an issue, the owner Lala resolved it quickly and pleasantly, which made me want to continue to ordering from her restaurant. Definitely give it a try!"
