"This is the best Mexican restaurant in Connecticut. The price to food ratio is excellent, and will fill you up in a good way. The Large Chips & Sauce are home made and fresh and the Mole Enchiladas will always fill your plate."
"Ixtapa Mexican Grille has excellent
food. It gets better and better over
the years. They say 17 yrs, but seems
like decades.
The Huevos Machaca had so much
carne seca that I needed 3 wheat
tortillas to finish it. We loved the
Combo Tres: chicken enchilada,
beef taco and a terrific Chile
Relleno.
The Huevos Mexicana was hearty
delicious like from a family Cantina.
That's what Ixtapa Grille does. It
takes comfortable family fare and
elevates it to fine dining.
In addition to tacos, burritos, and
enchiladas, Ixtapa offers steak &
seafood entrees.
But the rice, beans and salad sides
provide reliable familiarity.
Tunbir was a great dasher."

"The Cantina Chicken Burrito is actually so good. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavors of the burrito; they reminded me of authentic burritos I enjoyed while visiting Mexico. The Avocado Verde Salsa that comes with the burrito was also of note. It added an incredible flavor, and a little kick, to the already excellent burrito This, paired with a hasty delivery, made for a delightful evening. Bravo, Taco Bell! And bravo, Colin!"

"Absolutely incredible mexican food. The Grilled Steak Fajita was flavorful, with very tender meat. They forgot the tortilla, so it ended up being more of a burrito bowl, but totally incredible. The 3 Pork Carnitas Tacos Meal was also amazing, tender and yummy pork meat, soft tortillas, a lime for each one, just amazing. The Chicken Taco Salad Bowl was so well done. The chicken was nice and tender, the rice and beans awesome and even the salad that came with it had a bit of seasoning (pepper like) on it, not salty, just yummy and that extra touch. Will DEFINITELY order from them again. So amazing."
"The burrito was good but I should've got the chicken because the steak meat was hard towards the middle of the Grilled Steak Burrito & honestly I definitely would order again but with chicken & it's big .. the lettuce was soggy but everything was great with the sauces. Normally I don't even like burritos "

"The Burrito was absolutely amazing, it had the perfect amount of everything &' it came with a lot of chips."
"It's still pretty good. The Hard Rock n Roll Sauce may be my favorite of all time.
But to be honest, the prices here have far exceeded th value, regardless of the excellent sauce. Find a local spot if you can first. Orale Tacos is incredible, a fraction of the price and homemade. My partner and I can both eat there for the cost of a Moe's entrée, a small queso and one regular drink. We'll miss you, Moe's Monday's "

"I ordered their individual Taco for three days. I tried their spicy chicken, seasoned pork, and steak. I have no complaints, and it is what I consider authentic. "We have ordered from here several times and everything we've tried has been delicious. When ordering the Tacos Gringos - the "Crispy" tacos, we always ask for the fillings to be sent separately. They always accommodate and then we can crisp up the shells, and it's never soggy. I particularly like the Chancho Burrito, the meat is very flavorful. "
"Super disappointed. I ordered a burrito, a side of rice and beans, and an elote. The burrito is huge and will definitely carry me through a second and probably even third meal, and the elote was at least buttery, soft, and comforting. Unfortunately, that’s where the excitement ended.
The rice was cooked well, but the only thing giving “authentic Latin yellow rice” was the color. No seasoning, no depth, no warmth. Just bland. The beans tasted like they were poured straight from a can with little done to elevate them. And the burrito? More of the same flavorless rice and beans wrapped around a dry, underseasoned chicken breast and rolled into a flour tortilla the size of my forearm.
At this point, I almost want to open the whole thing up and doctor it myself with salt, pepper, pico de gallo, lime, maybe even some hot sauce just to make it enjoyable. I’m honestly shocked there wasn’t even salsa or sour cream included, because it desperately needs something to bring moisture and flavor to the dish.
For the price, I genuinely feel like I could have made something far more flavorful at home for a third of the cost. If you’re looking for bold, authentic Latin flavors, this probably is not the spot. Keep looking."

"Shrimp Tacos are delicious with fresh ingredients, good-sized portion and always are made consistent every single time. They are great at accommodating special request. This is a great new spot, owned by a CT family, who make you feel like family when picking up or eating in-person! Wonderful food, atmosphere and HUGE MARGHERITAS! Online orders always accurate as they truly take pride in each item. The best new Mexican food around!"
"All of the food was delicious! Our only complaint was the size of the Guacamole. For $5.99 it was very small, the size of a side of salsa that they give you for free. Also my sons Chicken Tenders werent really chicken tenders. They were skinny and burnt strips of chicken. The Tacos de Birria were the best thing we had! Flautas were also very good. "

"I love this restaurant. If you want something truly comforting and warm for your belly, the Chicken Stew/ Pollo Guisado and beef strew are it. I started getting the 1/2 Roasted Chicken and I eat it for a few meals. The Yellow Rice and Peas (Moro) is always great. Would definitely order again."
"I ordered the baked chicken and rice. The portion was way smaller more money and the beans and rice tasted burnt and the bake chicken was dry. Surprised but never again because second time with bad food"

"They don't sell quesadillas, which is confusing. The burgers and fries are good though."
"Idk what they got going on over there but the so called restaurant is in the same place as a diner called Cody's. Incredibly overpriced and there was a lot of tortilla and not enough chicken. Literally took 45 to get here for a chicken quesadilla and a side of fries."

"Superb food from El Gallo Dorado.
Better than my favorite places in
California. Yet, so conveniently
close. The great thing about
Chilaquiles is that instead of a
plate of chorizo & eggs, with a
side of tortillas, where you tear
apart the tortillas and wipe the
plate in salsa roja (verde) ... The
work is already done for you!
The tortillas shreds are already
soaked in salsa (along with some
extra red chili oil). Delicious.
The Enchiladas Verde were also
fantastic (also containing soaked
tortillas -- do you see a theme
developing here. Haha) plus
beans and rice. SO satisfying;
and very reasonable.
The Lengua Tacos are even better
than the ones you get at a Mom-
and-Pop Taqueria stand in Cali.
OUTSTANDING!"
"I've been getting the taco salad a lot lately. It's delicious and they always give you a very good portion. it's not inexpensive, but it is a good value. Between the chicken and the guacamole, several cheeses, lettuce, tomato, a dressing that they put in there that I have no clue what it is, it's just a great a great combination. Very good."

"Not the greatest we've ever had, but definitely what the doctor ordered. Steak Quesadilla was excellent, Carnitas Burrito (Pulled Pork) was good (could use some salt or salsa), Corn in a Cup (Esquite) was spot on."
"ordered the chicken taco combo which comes with 2 tacos, rice and beans, for the price it was a good amount of food, would recommend "

"I norm get the Taquitos from cil and I love them! They are so flavorful and delicious, and they give you a good amount of food. Love Cilantro!!"
"Yuck. I forgot why I stopped ordering from this place. The rice was hard. The Taquitos were bland and soggy. The spicy salsa is watery and flavorless. Kinda sad when the best part of the meal is the chips....just go to chipotle."

"I have been wanting a good sub. I came across this deli. It gets a 10 plus. I could only eat half of it. The bread and fixings was nice and fresh. I finally found my place. "
"I loved the kayzzy. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius. The cheese with the cutlet and Caesar on the panini machine is perfecto! The fry's really hit that craving. 100% reccomend. If ordered and don't like you don't got that good taste. Huge, filled me up as well, super fresh!"

Wood-n-Tap

"This is my Hickory Burger from the Wood-n-Tap restaurant, which I ordered at the peak dinner hour of exactly 6:22. I ordered my burger exactly as it is on the menu at the cook temperature of Medium Rare. I do like my burger to be quite pink so I ALWAYS order delivered red meat more rare than I would in a restaurant as the meat will keep cooking in the box & bag on the way to my house-just a tip for food ordering newbies and this goes double for steak orders.
I received my order earlier than expected by about 10 minutes about 37 minutes total time from order to delivery...and it was ABOVE AND BEYOND AMAZING. Considering the 20something degree temperature outside and a 15-20 mile trip from restaurant to my home everything arrived incredibly well.
I ordered 2 of these burgers, 1 for myself and one for my hubby. The frizzled onions were still awesomely crispy, i almostwish I added extra even though im stuffed to capacity cuz they were so awesome. Frizzled onions are something that I find even when I order and eat inside a restaurant can often be a very hard item to nail and they NAILED IT- these were fantastic. The bacon was still crisp, the fries were warm and clearly not fresh from the fryer because they'd obviously been delivered, but they definitely still had a crispness to them. As you can see in the photos (and if you've ever ordered high end takeout or just brought home leftovers before) you probably know that condensation can sometimes be an issue in travel- its the tax you pay to not have to leave your home for incredibly amazing food.
I took a few photos, this way you can see what a delivery of this burger's doneness at medium rare in delivery at my time, temperature and distance looks like, as well as the burger's size which was bigger than my entire hand- I will say my hand is a woman's hand and I wouldn't say I have a large hand at all, but I'd say the burger was pretty darn large. I apologize for having taken my photo of the entire box of food with a bite taken from it, it just smelled and looked so amazingly delicious and I was so hungry that I just had to take a giant bite.
This was my very first time ever ordering from Wood-n-Tap, but I can assure you it will not be my last. This burger was juicy, lean, seasoned amazingly and beefy- exactly what I was craving- a REAL BURGER. This is not some puny paper thin fast food mystery meat grease bomb. If thats what you're craving you know where to go to get it. But with prices these days, with a total plus tip not much more than one of those neon sign fast food joints... I'll take Wood-n-Tap over that other trash ANYDAY! If I could give 20 stars I would!"
"The Dirty Chicken Wrap was so good. I loved the tangy sauce. The portion was big and all the ingredients tasted fresh! I loved that the avocado was actually RIPE! That was the best part. I'm usually iffy about dishes with avocado but this one did not disappoint! I'm glad I ordered it! The Steak Taco was my favorite. The Shrimp Taco was good too but I preferred the savory steak. I am so full from those three things that I'll have to eat my Caesar Salad Caesar Salad Large and Spinach Artichoke Flatbread later tonight. I am hopeful they will be just as good. First time ordering so I got a few things to try and I will definitely be ordering again!"
