"There is absolutely no way this has the stars it has. We ordered 2x 3 item combo plates a side of fries and a shrimp boil plate special.
The good - the shrimp was well cooked, not mushy or tough. The house special sauce was good. Nothing special. It came with corn and rice. The rice was cooked well, not too sticky or mushy. Corn the same way. And that's where the good screeches to a halt!
The bad - 3 item plates, chicken tender katsu, bbq beef, fried shrimp, "spicy" beef kalbi, garlic chicken and loco moco. The "katsu" was soggy and the katsu sauce was terrible, sweet and thin. Fried shrimp was flavorless and the tartar sauce tasted like last weeks tartar sauce that's just been sitting. Bbq beef was slightly overcooked. The "spicy" kalbi was not spicy at all, slightly tough and lacked flavor. The garlic chicken was not garlic chicken. I recieved bbq chicken instead that again lacked flavor and extremely thin and dry. The "loco moco" was the absolute worst. It was literally a frozen hamburger patty with absolutely no seasoning and overcooked. The egg tasted like oil. And the gravy smelt off so I did not even try that. And the Mac salad was awful. Mushy noodles and absolutely no flavor. The take out boxes weren't great either. We recieved our food with the bag filled with what I'm assuming was the shrimp boil sauce.
At the end of the day this place has no business having "Hawaiian bbq" in its name. I wish we could get a refund but sadly we got the food so there's nothing to refund. Overall this was a 2/10 for the shrimp boil and rice being okay. Highly disappointed especially since this place was rated 4.5/5 at the time of ordering.
We do not recommend this place if Hawaiian bbq was the purpose."

"Ordered the pound of Snow Crab which was good and contained 3 clusters of legs. I also got New England Clam Chowder which wasnt bad. However, the Ocean Seafood Combo A is a COMPLETE rip off! After getting all the seafood together, I only had 5 mussels, 7 clams, and 9 shrimp as a couple shrimp completely turned into mush as I peeled them. One of the mussels was horrible quality as well, as I bit into it and had a mouthful of black sand with a nasty gritty texture. In no world was I given a half pound of any of the seafood this combo contains, even counting the weight of the shells. The Ocean Seafood Combo A can most definitely NOT feed 2 people, is poor quality, and barely continues a pound of seafood despite the claims the restaurant makes about it containing 2.5 lbs of seafood. "I got the Trio Choice of 3 Meats with pork ribs, burnt ends and sliced brisket with Mac. Everything was super tender and super flavorful. The Mac was well seasoned and the wait time wasn't too long. The burnt ends were smothered with delicious sauce that melts in your mouth. The sundae came in a cup. The price was worth it, super fresh and delicious. Burnt end portion was a bit questionable since it was an extra four dollars but definitely the taste made up for it. Would order again. "
