I was excited to support Juliana’s Bakery & Sweets after hearing great recommendations about the cornmeal guava mini cakes. I walked there early in the rain specifically for those items and was told in person they were unavailable, with staff stating they are made every other day.
After returning home, I checked DoorDash and saw the exact same cakes available for pickup within 30 minutes, which was both confusing and frustrating. This meant I made a second trip back in the rain because the information I received in person did not match what was being offered online.
Additionally, my order included a vanilla cupcake with dulce de leche, which was unavailable, but instead of notifying me beforehand or allowing me to approve a substitution, the store made that decision without my consent.
While I appreciate the handwritten apology note, better communication, accurate inventory, and customer transparency are necessary. Customers deserve consistent information and the ability to make informed purchasing decisions.
The desserts were enjoyable, but the overall experience left me disappointed due to poor communication and conflicting availability information."

"This was my first time ordering from this restaurant. I placed a call before ordering to ask a few questions about the menu, the man I spoke with was beyond delightful and helpful! The food was delicious, but the portions are ridiculously small! The meat was hardly 4 ozs , and the rice and beans were enough for my 4 year old granddaughter, but definitely should NOT be portions for a dinner plate! I mean I am truly taken aback at the small, skimpy slices of thin thin steak, small amount of rice and small amount of beans! If they don't give people actually enough food, I don't foresee myself ordering again. And I'm a chef, so I absolutely do understand portion control. However, for a meal that came to almost 30 bucks, the portions are definitely child sized. The flavor was definitely amazing though!"
