"I would not say that their fried chicken meets their outstanding price and reputation. While they are perfectly crispy, their flavour doesn't leave much of an impression. That may just be fried chicken in general, though.
Their onion rings were a similar story. They aren't as crispy as you would like them to be, and they don't taste like much. I might even say the onions themselves were a bit mushy.
The best items I had were their Cajun Fries and biscuits. Maybe because I'm just a loon for potatoes and pastries, but I thought they were perfect!
In summary: I thought it was bland and isn't worth the high price. Won't be ordering from Popeye's again."

"Usually the pitas are really good from here.. except for whatever reason, on weekends. Now maybe this is my fault bc I had totally forgotten that today is Sunday, and I had ordered from there. Any time we have ordered on the weekends, for whatever reason, the lettuce in any of the Regular Pita, has always been wilted, soggy, turning black, and very unappetizing. You cannot enjoy eating it, when you are digging through it, and picking it out. Maybe the manager does not work on weekends, and so the staff just does the bare minimum there. I don't really know. What I do know, and what I suggest, is to avoid them on Saturdays and Sundays, bc you will not enjoy it, and you'll only waste your money."

The six piece came with two ribs and two legs one thigh and one wing. Ribs are basically useless and have very little meat on them, so why was I given two ribs? That didn't feel like fair value. The Traditional Chai Tea was just like in India, personally I prefer a tiny bit sweeter but that was of course easily changed and then 10/10 tasting; it would be nice if the tea was in a better cup though because it was very spillable and hot. Probably intended to be drank in store, but a more resilient cup would be helpful in the future."

"Food was very good. I always be sure to order Arcancini l. It's always excellent. They have the selection of 2 or 4 but I always find 2 to be just a tease. However they are large so you could easily fill up before your main course arrives! I always take some home for my next meal!
Hawaiian pizza was also good but was a little disappointed that some areas of the crust was burnt black. The crust on this pizza is very thin so I'm sure that's just the cause. Wasn't a big deal nor did it take anything away from the enjoyment of their food. Will be back!!! Best pizza in Nanaimo!"

Short Rib Ragù is an absolute experience that took me back to grandma's kitchen. lots of fork tender beef chunks that added a rich rib flavour in a clean and simple sauce. Slow cooked beef lovers need to try this."
