"Everything was delicious and honest. Nothing seemed overly loaded with fat. The 90) Saag Paneer and 81) Chana Masala (ND)(GF) had plenty of spinach, paneer, and chickpea respectively. The naans were good, the 2) Samosas (2 pcs.) Were full and tasty, the rice was light and there was plenty of it. Really lovely meal."
"Probably one of the best 129) Carrot/ Gajar Halwa I have had outside of India, need to mention 100) Mutton Biryani (H)(GF) was fantastic the meat was pretty juicy and fresh. Both had larger portions than expected. Definitely coming back to this place."

"Everything is wonderful here. From the freshness of the spices, to the fantastic portion sizes. The dishes are delicious, especially my favorite the Butter Paneer. The CHA (Chai Tea) was warm and comforting.
We will definitely keep ordering from here, and the staff deserve so much credit for how wonderful the food is."
"I absolutely love the food here. I've only recently begun eating Indian food, and Sizzling Indian Kitchen is my new go-to. Excellent portions, mind-blowing flavor, good variety, and everything is super fresh. I tend to order the Plate with butter chicken and lamb curry as well as an order of the lamb Biryani, which is the first Biryani I haven't needed to request adjustments to."

"They aren't joking when the only spice level for Vindaloo is "it's very spicy". It's also delicious, as is everything else we've tried. Fair warning that the Bread Basket is probably enough naan for four. The goat is worth a try!"

"My goodness I had to come in here and leave a rating. This food is amazing, best Indian food in PDX for sure. Fresh vegetables, not frozen and not a bunch of cabbage. Aloo Tikki Chaat, Paneer Pakora, vegetable biryani and tofu butter masala..... all of it was delicious. I think they boil the tofu and it's different, and now my favorite. And, I have leftovers this week."
"They are so delicious! Great service! Fulfilling portions! Fresh out of the oven! We are repeat customers (bare minimum once a week!)
Highly suggest:
-Chicken Tikka Masala (flavorful no matter the spice level!)
-Butter Chicken (delicious with tender chicken)
-Love ALL Naans! (Cheesy Garlic = long cheese pulls & Chili Cheese = perfect spice)
-Mango Lassi (BEST WE'VE HAD! They use C 4 simple ingredients so the flavor is consistent & drink is well balanced!)
-Vegetable Somas (always perfectly crispy & not overcooked)
-Gulab Jamun (Again they balance their sweets so proportionately!)
-Chai (so aromatic)
My partner & I agree you can never go wrong eating here!
10/10 ALWAYS RECOMMEND!

"This was a good meal considering the amount spent. The Chicken Biryani was well seasoned and delicious. The Aloo Paratha was good though I would have liked it a bit more stuffed with the potato filling. Overall a 5 star."
"Biryani and fish pakora had good flavor. Fish was tender and succulent. Not at all dry on the inside.
Was disappointed by the Paneer Pakora given the amount of paneer used. Thickness of the paneer ranged from 4mm thick to 8mm thick. Not true to the picture on the site."

"Finally found a favorite Indian restaurant!
I’m really glad I decided to try this place. Everything I ordered was delicious, especially the Lasuni Dal Tadka. I’ve tried quite a few dal tadkas elsewhere, and this is by far the best I’ve had. A lot of the ones I’ve tried at other restaurants have been very thin and watery, but this one had so much more flavor and a nice, hearty texture with the lentils still having some texture. It was also spicy in exactly the way I like it. I would definitely order it again. The only thing I felt was that $17 was a little pricey for the portion size, but it was so delicious that I would still happily order it again.
The spicy naan with green chilies was also really good. It was soft, flavorful, and this was my first time trying spicy naan. I really enjoyed it and would definitely order it again.
I also tried the Masala Chai. It was good, but it had a little too much milk for my taste, and I would have preferred a stronger chai flavor.
Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food was flavorful, the spice level was perfect for me, and I’m happy to have finally found a place I’ll be coming back to try more dishes."
"Everything was very flavorful and well packaged. The Vindaloo was really nice with just a bit of heat (I ordered mild). Next time I might get more adventurous and get it spicier. Their Mango Chutney was awesome and a great accompaniment to the spicy flavors. Even the rice was fresh, well cooked and perfect. Overall it was a great meal."

"Bollywood Dhaba's lamb vindaloo is a must-try for anyone who loves bold, spicy Indian food. The lamb was tender and slow-cooked, and the sauce had real depth—fiery heat balanced with tangy vinegar, warm spices, and a subtle sweetness. It’s not just hot; it’s flavorful and satisfying. Paired with fluffy basmati rice and naan, it was a fantastic meal. Bollywood Dhaba has earned a repeat visit."

"The food is nothing like it has been in past years. It was quite disappointing. "Incredible biryani, solid value / generous portions. Very pleased with this new addition to the neighborhood, definitely a weekly order for me now "
"Rich, robust, complex - just what you want from Indian cuisine. Surprising lack of vegetables for both curry and biryani and the Hyderabad Curry, though delicious, was a very small portion for the cost. Also surprised that the accompanying rice for the curry was plain, no saffron or other spices. The Paneer Biryani, though lacking veggies, did have large, yummy cubes of paneer and warmly flavorful rice. Overall great quality and flavor pay-off, just a bit pricey."

"The Pani Puri was thoroughly delectable. The pani (tamarind water with boondis) was thick with flavor unlike the usual watered down version I've tasted elsewhere. I wish there were more pooris, though. The potato based filling perfectly balanced out the tangyness of the pani and the meethi (dates) chutney.
My only suggestion would be to include more pooris and accordingly some additional quantity of the potato filling.
PS: No photos because I already finished it all in one go :D"
"The food is always to die for! The Non veg thali / platter gives a lot of variety for an inexpensive price. And theLamb Curry is so tender and delcious. Everything is fresh and so deicious! "This was my first time trying Sangam - it will NOT be my last to be sure. I ordered the Coconut Masala with goat along with Vegetable Samosa Pappadums Plain Naan and some added Mango Chutney.
The curry was fantastic - I am a spice wuss so I ordered it mild. The flavors were outstanding and the goat was awesome as well. Just note the goat IS on the bone, the picture in DD kind of makes it look like it's not. Still Highly reccomend.
The Samosas - boy howdy! They were good but very spicy for me. The outsides were not that crisp but it could be from the travel. Would I get these again..maybe..I'd just need lots of milk to help with the spice.
Pappadums were outstanding as well - nice and crisp - love the flavor!
Naan - OMG - that is some of the best Naan I've had so dan good and the chutney was also very very good.
Overall - 9.5/10 "

"I've ordered a handful of times, tried a few different dishes and have not been disappointed. all the flavors are there, the portions are generous and everything looks and smells amazing! this fish dish was so yummy, but if you struggle with spicy food then I would suggest the other fish they have on their menu. this Apollo Fish is something I've been wanting to try. it's not crispy because it's tossed in a delicious spicy sauce after it's fried. as for the soda, the one in my photo is not the one I ordered (I don't think) but I assume they are out of the Indian Soda - Jaljeera Maslala and replaced it with Limca. I don't mind, it's still yummy. I would (and plan to) order from here again and tho I would order the Apollo Fish again, but not before I get to try all the other exciting dishes!"

"I have been wanting to try this place for awhile. I finally ordered the Aloo Gobi (Cauliflower and Potato) and was not disappointed! Authentic, delicious Indian flavors. I will definitely order again."
"This one makes me miss the star system because this is a pretty clear 2/5, but I did still "like" it; the Garlic naan was very dry and tough, most likely because my order somehow took almost an hour to cook. I would not recommend the naan.
Chicken Pakoda is nice enough but it's very mildly seasoned and somewhat dry; the flavor is hinted for sure, it's just mostly dryish chicken. I feel like I had no frame of reference for other Pakoda I would've enjoyed this a lot more, it's just disappointing relatively. I could see the mild seasoning being a draw to some as well!
The (veggie) Pakoda was the stand out here for me, a really nice crunch that goes well with the sauces.
On the subject of those sauces, they were fine but a bit weak on flavor. I appreciate that they labeled the hot one! I took the kid off but was not courageous enough once I smelled the pure heat coming off the red slurry.
Would I order it again? It's a tough question, so keep that part in mind, but probably not."

"Wow, this is just so, so good every, every time. New, refreshing for PDX, and every dish is very remarkable. Travels well and puts me to sleep even better. "
"Rice was bland, lamb on the dry side. The naan was disgusting and inedible. The pork was really good though. For the price, the portions are way too small and the food was just okay overall. The extra side order of rice for $5 is a joke. What did I just spend $50 on? My order should have been around $25 for what it was. Not worth the money and not so good that the over priced items are worth it anyway. How do you screw up naan bread?"

"Everything was so flavorful and tasty! Huge portions so great value for the price. Definitely the best Indian food I've had in Portland by far. I love how creamy the 4. "I absolutely love this place. The Pork Vindaloo has a great kick to it. I love the Chole and Paratha, great combo. Everything I've had there is delicious!
I also recommend them for their support while I was driving for DD during the pandemic. Bollywood Theater was one of my all time favorites to deliver for and treated the drivers very well.
Support your driver and tip well!"

"I'm sorry y'all but I have to honest. mirisata is my favorite restaurant in Portland but I was bummed to splurge almost $30 for a lack luster rice and curry Rice & Curry Plate ! smaller portions than dining in and not the flavorful combo that I'm used to."

"The Vegetable Korma and Vegetable Samosa were amazing."
"Vegan Combo with the lentils was amazing. the Plain Naan and Basmati Rice were both fantastic. We will definitely be ordering from here again. However, I recommend staying away from the Vegetable Korma if you prefer savory meals, as its extremely sweet like candy. However, even though I wasn't able to eat it, I could tell that if I did like sweet dinners it would have been good. It also does not have any cream substitute in the base.
Despite the philosophical disagreement about how Vegetable Korma should be made, we will definitely be ordering here again. The food was excellent. Well spiced. Great quality. The rice was fluffy and tasted so good. My husband shared his lentil thing with me and I can't wait to eat it again. Definitely recommend!"

"Absolutely awesome! One of my all-time favorite restaurants. It's clear that these pizzas are made by folks who genuinely care about making delicious, high quality, and creative dishes. To my fellow vegetarians: Both the Tandoori Paneer and Tikka Paneer are out of this world; if memory serves, the tikka is a little bit spicier, but just the right amount. Highly recommend!"
"Best of its kind! The Indian inspired pizzas are incredibly delicious, the naan-style crust fluffy and tastes way better than their competitors. I’ve tried others, but I keep coming back here for a reason. Don’t waste your with the imitators. "
