"The candied bacon is dangerous! My blood pressure is probably upset with me, but my belly is glad! The portions on the Pit Master Bundle are generous, especially given the price. If you get the bundle, then I suggest getting a second set of sides because the bundle is a lot of meat.

Everything arrived hot and the order was correct. The dinner was supposed to have 2 pieces of chicken, a thigh and a drumstick. I was thrilled to see an extra drumstick hiding under the other chicken and ribs. And instead of 4 ribs, I got 5! Chicken Shack ribs are the BEST! Meaty, fall off the bone tender, and well sauced with their signature BBQ glaze. Perfection! I got enough broasted, buttery potatoes for dinner for 2 and enough potatoes to make breakfast hash brown in a day or 2. The cole slaw, which I love, is finely chopped and has the perfect flavor of creamy, sweet and tart. I also got a small side of corn. It was filled to the top, well buttered, and had a nice amount of black pepper and was not overly salty at all. I was happy to see dinner included one of their square, soft, white dinner rolls. For just a hair over 20 bucks, it was s great value for the quantity and quality of the food I got. My driver, Na Donna was wonderful. She delivered promptly, followed my delivery instructions, and was very kind and friendly. I was happy to give her a bonus tip for her excellent service. I would be happy to have her deliver for me anytime! A great meal from Chicken Shack and a fabulous Door Dash experience. "My office co-workers and I ordered a ton from here. The Yang Chow, Shrimp and Chicken Fried Rice dishes were spectacular. Really well made and nice portions.
I couldn't tell by the photo, but the Cantonese Style Vegetarian Stir-Fried Noodles were not the type of noodle I wanted, BUT it was still really delicious.
The Steamed AND Pan Fried (yes, we got both) were so flavorful.
While the delivery took longer than I'd like (DoorDash), everything tasted amazing and the driver was pleasant. We will DEF be ordering from this place again soon.

If you're used to American Chinese food, then know that this will be much different; it's not a particularly crispy dish and the flavor profile is quite traditional. Expect it to be very heavy on the msg. I was pleased at the inclusion of Sichuan peppercorns, which add an upfront and unique dimension to this dish. The aromatics were a little overdone, but I can excuse that. The Wok Hei alone is evidence that this establishment employs highly skilled chefs. Overall, it's a diverse assortment of quality spices and flavors (some imported) which justifies the price. I wish it had more heat, but that's just my taste lol. Comes with rice."

"The Island Chick is the BEST hot chicken sandwich. Ignore the older reviews. The slaw, sauce and pickles go perfectly with the seasoned chicken (breaded and spiced perfectly). It's not overwhelming, the spice- the right kick. Mac N Cheese has a Smokey taste that is unique and very good. Potato Salad could maybe use slightly less mayo mixture but thats minor. It was smooth and creamy. And the Little Chicks Korean sauce was amazing. Even packaged, the presentation was solid. The taste? As good as it looks. Highly recommend. This beats anything in the Oakland/Macomb area. 9.8/10! "

"The tenderloin steak bites were pretty good. The mushrooms were flavorful and the steak was tender. The Cobb salad was not as great as the previous times I've had it. The lettuce was droopy and tasted a bit stale. The avocado was over ripe and full of browning and strings. It lacked all flavor. However, they gave ample portions of the salad dressing and bacon bits. The fries were good, but arrived cold. I don't totally fault the restaurant for that one. I'd probably order the steak bites again, but unsure about the salad."
