"My goodness... WOW! Every single dish was outstanding. I walk by this place all the time, and was hesitant because the previous owner never had anybody in the restaurant, and the reviews were poor. Then Mandala took over, and I have slowly seen it getting busier and busier. Then the other day, an Indian foodie friend told me the food was excellent. And then another person said you gotta try it.
I don't know why I waited this long, but this is some of the best Indian food I have ever had... and we've been to just about all of them in the DC Metro area, including Rasika. Great job, Mandala! I'll be walking over there for more of your food very soon!!!"

"They were out of spinach so I ended up with lamb rogenjosh rather than Lamb Saag but it was great! I'm not sure what some of these reviews are talking about when they complain about flavor. Most reviews were correct- very delicious, very flavorful- I almost wish I'd gone medium instead of hot/spicy for the two meat dishes as it was quite hot! But every dish was a party in my mouth from the Samosa Chaat to the Vegetable Samosa (2 pcs.)and the Chicken Momo (Nepali)! Glad I over ordered bc I'm happy to make several meals out of this. Some reviews mentioned that the Butter Chicken was a tad sweet (which I agree) but we didn't mind when we ordered mild spicy. It was probably done to balance the customized spice levels for each customer. I think next time we'll it more spicy to see if we like it more. The Butter Chicken does come with a side of basmati.
Chilli Chicken was great and the spice levels were great! We also ordered Assorted Bread and loved the naan variety. It was packaged nice and warm for delivery.
First time trying Samosa Chat and Spinach Chaat and we loved it! Samosa chat is my new favorite dish, and there were so many great flavors/textures in one bite. Forget plain samosas! Spinach chat were like chips and loved the texture.
